Already posted this in the hockey forum but for those that don't venture there...

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform everyone that our dear Lippsman passed away on Christmas Eve. 

"I'm sad to tell you Louis passed away at 6:22 tonight at Myrtle Grand Trauma Center he went very peacefully as if he was calling the shots we shall miss him we love him and nobody can take his place in any way as a son or a friend he was a friend to anyone that needed a friend"

The moderator team has decided to archive this thread as it was his last ever post on Covers.

I was one day kindly assisted by him on the subject of my PC attacked by some malware when visited this forum few years back. He recommended me to install adblocker on the Google Chrome and it helped greatly. Thanks Lipps, you will be missed.

I dont come in this forum often , i just realize mr Lippsman passed away . I came in here sometimes and i read some of his threads .

Never has the honor and the pleasure to meet him or talk to him .

Ugh...sad to hear ...Lippsman was a staple in the hockey forum.  When I was a stupid bettor in my 20's first coming into the forum I learned a lot betting on hockey from him.  Through the years I haven't been on here as much but come back every once in a while. Here i an almost 20 years after i joined covers, with the season starting tonight, came to check out what Lipps had to say. Sad to hear.  RIP buddy...and for the youngsters out there, you never know who is watching or listening... be a good person always!

The hockey forum is the only sane place left on Cover (aside from soccer)

As soon as I saw four underdogs of ~190 odds in the MLB playoffs today my first thought was…… the Lippsman Split!
