What a lifeless bunch they have been for two weeks now. Two huge games earlier this week against Florida and Ottawa and very little effort showed in both. All the media around here talking about 1st place, how about being a wildcard team instead? I haven't been able to watch a full game from these guys in quite awhile. It's disturbing how little they seem to care.
I guess the figure they will just turn it on once the playoffs start!
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

Absolutely putrid effort last night, Ottawa did not play great at all, the game was there to be taken but the leafs never showed up. I wouldn’t worry right now though, it may be they have learned there is only one season, the first one is just to get in, it doesn’t matter how. Wait and see how they look their last five games of the season when teams are tuning their game up, then be concerned.

I'm with ya. They're terrible our core 4 I have never chirped as much, I can't stand lazy nylander. Morgan Reilly is our worse dman and he never gets benched. Another first round exit is coming and it don't matter who they play, let marner walk, with that money maybe we can get some real playoff players. I love marner but we have no other option one of the 3 have to go.

If they show an honest effort and lose so be it but lately they look totally out of sync for some reason? I can't think of one part of their game that has been decent in March so far. No speed, hardly winning any puck battles, PK horrible, PP horrible, average goaltending, it's really hard to watch. They should be way better than this!

@leafs1789 I agree with everything you say Leafs! I have been paying big bucks over the years to watch these guys play live so I am allowed to vent when they play like they couldn't give a flying fuk.
I am not sure a week or two of games should cause you this much stress but on same hand much like the Oil how have they changed dramatically from last year when neither won? So why should either of us expect a different result? Hard to think of a fan base that invests more into their teams and gets less out of it than TO. I hate the leafs so I am fine with it but I feel for you.

Leafs last won the cup 60 years ago. Only team out of original 6 not to win a cup since expansion. The other 5 won at least 1 some teams 2 or 3 or 4 times. But not the leafs. Highest grossing team in the league in terms of money made. Arena is always full and you need to get on a list for seasons tickets. Yet the team could care less. They make their money and the fan is left holding the bag. We should stop supporting this team leave the arena empty until they show that they care enough about the people who are paying for their lavish lifestyles. I predict leafs won't win the cup for another 60 years. I never bet on the leafs if I can help it. Bunch of premadonnas scared of their own shadow. If they keep playing the way they are they might have to settle for a wildcard spot, if that. Leafs will do what they always do, CHOKE. Go Montreal.

Guys l am a season tickets holder, every year tickets go up and every year failure in playoffs. I remember 1993 the joy and excitement in the Niagara Region when they went deep into the playoff.l think they might be fighting for a playoff spot this year, never mind about 1st place or home ice advantage

For me it's not a week or 2, it's more like 45 years but for this core 4 it's been 9 years. And they keep rolling it back year after year and they will never win with all 4 of them.

Wish we kept Minten and traded Robertson. Not a Robertson fan, gets hot for a few games then he slumps for 15 games. Minten gonna be a good 3rd line two way center.

And I agree...I got lucky for my only Leafs bet this season when they played Utah after that losing streak and barely won. Betting against the leafs after they win 3 in a row or taking the dog +1.5 against them seems to work out ok.
The Jays? I only bet against them against certain AL teams...interleague I find is too volatile.
And the NBA can go fuck itself with stars resting every other day, lack of effort, three point shooting ruining the game....my bank account thanks me to this day.
If anyone in here consistently wins with totals in any sport, I give them props because I SUCK in every sport with totals when I tracked myself 10 yrs ago...lol
