DET ML +140
NJ coming off a rough 4-9 December, though they had an all-around solid win last Friday @ Penguins (EN for 4-2 win) and then a tough 5-4 SO loss vs Carolina on New Year's Day. NJ is 1-3 last 4 and has lost 7 straight at home. In addition, two of NJ's top-line skaters (Tatar and Hischier) are now day-to-day after taking maintenance days on Tuesday (roto).
DET was 4-8 in December, but has been playing better of late. They're 3-1 including a 7-4 home W vs Tampa Bay, a 5-4 OTW @ Penguins followed by the b2b 6-3 loss @ Buffalo, and a 4-2 home win vs Senators on Saturday. Also Robby Fabbri's first game of the season after knee surgery, so that's a positive development.
