Who's up for a good ol' fashioned riot?

Those Canadiens fans are going to burn Montreal to the ground... and it's only the conference semi-finals!

"Police announced plans to close off a hunk of downtown Ste-Catherine Street and the deployment of officers on foot, bicycle, motorcycle and horseback.

A helicopter would hover overhead and plainclothes police would mingle with the crowds to augment the large contingent of officers in riot gear that would flood the streets.

The canine squad was also being deployed."

might be a mass suicide... the dreaded 4 goal lead hugh momentum letdown coming up.. or at least its looking like it

enjoy the win (if they hold on) and have a good time but rioting for the conference finals is just plan dumb... hey habs fans YOU HAVENT WON SHIT YET

Trust me, Montrealers look for any chance they get (they rioted last time they won the Cup, they rioted when they lost to the Bruins a few years ago for Christ's sake). What other city in North America would shut down a major street in the downtown core and bring out the riot squad for a semi final win?

Like Three Days Grace sang: "Let's start a riot..."

where did i say they dont? im saying its dumb to riot when theyve won jack all...

sounds like what goes on in college park after a maryland/duke basketball game

and from the shots i see from montreal now thats completely fine but if they start flipping cars and breaking windows thats just idiotic

Oh, I know it's idiotic and all it takes is a couple of fools to set it off for mob mentality to set in, but that's Montreal for you.

Here's some footage I found on YouTube from the last riot in 2008 (I guess it was a win, not a loss - my mistake).
