Why no break?

isn&#x27;t the point of the Stanley Cup Finals to grow their product to get the highest viewer base possible? If that is the case, why hold games 4 &amp; 5 in the two worst ratings nights of the week? There is no logical reasoning for this other than wanting to get the Finals over with ASAP.

It wasn&#x27;t bc the schedule had to be reset due to the protests. Still makes no sense to play on back to back nights and not build up any excitement toward what has been a dud of a Finals.

I think for the most part, as much as most hockey fans enjoyed the return, the game just hasn&#x27;t been the same. This current spectacle goes to show just how much the fans in the respective teams home rinks mean to the game and the subsequent added excitement. Nobody can or will ever convince me that home ice doesn&#x27;t mean something in the heat of the Stanley Cop playoffs. The biggest thing missing in this year&#x27;s journey has been the fans and the home rinks.

So why not hold game 4 on a Sat, game 5 on a Tues when you dont have to compete with NFL or NBA? Not like an extra few days will hold back the start of the 21&#x27; season much.

It&#x27;s always been about getting the playoffs over with quickly. From the beginning everything has been condensed.
