Hi guys my book has the Leafs at -115 tonight and I'm thinking they sure as hell have to get a win to get back into a series that was expected to go along way?
If they won without Matthews in the past shouldn't they be able to win without Kadri & Komorov? Can they really go down 0-3? I really want to pound the Leafs hard tonight but wanted some input first.

Im from Toronto and I love the Leafs but hell no they ain't winning. Have you seen the last 2 games, home ice isn't turning that around. As bad as I want to bet on them to win you just can't.

The key is Freddy Anderson returning to form as he's bailed the Leafs poor play out all season long up until now. When Freddy is on then the entire team is allowed to play their style of high scoring hockey b/c he'll make the big save and then they go the other way and score. It's just like when Cujo & Belfour led the Leafs to the playoffs as they would get dominated but win b/c of the goalie.
I wouldn't put too much stock in getting blown out in the first 2 b/c they are a different team at home and with last change they will be able to contain the Bruins better.

The Bruins have looked like the much better team in every way to this point. I'm not sure playing in a different city will change that. Bruins win easily

I like Toronto. Only issue I see is goaltending. They can play much tougher and fly around on the ice but if Boston picks up some cheap goals, they'll have a tough time. They out shot Boston in game 2.

Here is a way to HAMMER the Leafs and enjoy the game win or lose.
Leafs Team Total OVER 2.5 (-1.30)
-In 8 of the last 10 meetings vs. Boston the Leafs have scored 3 or more goals
-In both meetings at home this year vs. Boston the Leafs have scored 3 or more goals
-In 8 of the Leafs last 10 home games this year they have scored 3 or more goals
I think the Leafs OVER 2.5 goals looks like a pretty solid play and if they lose 3-4, you still have a great night.

After getting hosed by the Jets last night I’m hesitant to bet the B’s on the road. Instead went with TT O2.5. But if I had to pick a side I’d still go B’s.

I heard a lot about the 3-1 season series for the Leafs before this series started, but I think people forget that this Boston team started the year 6-11 after a 4 game losing streak in November in which 2 of those losses were b2b to the Leafs. Obviously a different team now as since that stretch the B's only lost 2 games in a row 4 times the rest of the season. The next two times they played each other...a 4-1 Boston win in Boston, and 4-3 Leafs win in Toronto. That is probably a more accurate depiction of how this will go...one-sided in Boston, coin flip in Toronto.
Defense, defense, defense...everybody knows this is the Leafs achilles heal and they did nothing to improve it all year. Freddy A covered up a lot of holes and made this team look legit when he was on his game, but he is not right now and the Bruins probably have the book on him.
I think Kadri is a bigger loss than people think.
I know the old adage of "you're not in trouble till you lose at home" should be reassuring to the Leafs but I don't see home ice swinging this enough. It's not a totally jacked up crowd like some of the other arenas around the league...it's corporate, and most people there, especially in the lower bowl, are trying to close deals or schmooze clients. If they go down early it will be silent. This seems like the kind of situation where the team coming home just needs to "grind out" a win but grinding it out is just not the Leafs style.
Definitely agree if you want to bet Leafs, team total over 2.5 is the way to go. They should be able to generate more offence, but the problem is they will also give up some goals which makes who wins the game too much of a toss-up.

kadri is definity a bigger loss than people think, this is the type of game that he would put 2 goals up in.. extremely heavy blow. over 5.5 might be the play here

leafs got dominated in the third and was fairly even throughout. i was on leafs, picked them to start the series but even that win doesnt inspire that much confidence

Not sure I would say they controlled 100%, but they definitely looked better. Bruins hit how many posts, and that save by Freddy at the end was ridiculous. Boston definitely left a couple goals on the table. Hope they do take it to 7 though!!
