Will Rangers or Islanders be in the Playoffs?

We we know that the NHL playoffs is on the way, and we can enjoy more and more wonderful games everyday.

Islanders are not noticed by many NHL fans for their ordinary performance, but the game between Islanders and Rangers gets more attention  from fans because they are playing this games with their lives.

Whereas Rangers are always taking advantages in the game between Islanders and Rangers and even more have not lost one game to Islanders. So some people think Rangers will play into the playoffs?

What's your ideas on this topic? Rangers or Islanders?

I think both but being a lifelong ranger fan if i had to choose and only 1 of the 2 could make it i would look at the teams remaining sched. And go from there

Take a look at the remaining schedules and you will see why the Isles should be booking tee times right now.

How do you figure? 4 of their last 6 games are against non-playoff contenders. Winnipeg and Toronto will be tough, but the rest I don't think will put up a big fight. Granted they do have a 5 game road trip to end the season which is rough, but I think they'll take half those games. Winnipeg is the only team that has a decent chance of catching up to the Isles as well, I don't see NJ or Buffalo slipping into the playoffs.

I think both NY will make the playoffs, but if you had asked me at the beginning of the season I would have said the Islanders have zero chance of making it :)

Those last 5 road games will do in the Isles.  But it all boils down to the Isles @ Jets on the 20th. Whoever wins that game in regulation will be the the seed.

I'm also baning on the Habs just going through the motions their last game at the Jets because it won't make any difference if they win or lose and the Jets needing a point to take the final spot.

they could actually BOTH make unless the Jets, Sabres or Devils come on. Rangers "game in hand" could be HUGE end of regular season.

They both have a good chance of making it, keep in mind the Jets could knock out the Caps and take the 3rd seed and Washington could fall to 9th.... it's unlikely though

I think Buffalo is a stronger rival than NJ
