All eyes on you, fearless leader.
Nobrainer, with all due respect you’re out of line with this. As long as you make the proper amount of picks, people can do what they want. If they’re totally out of the race and they don’t make a pick, there’s no problem, but since he was in the lead there is? Makes no sense. I got my ass handed to me last year in bowl season and got 4th place by the skin of my teeth because I was picking too many games that I lost. Had I been more conservative I probably would’ve gotten at least second, and I will remember to lay back a little in the future so that doesn’t happen again. If someone wants to sit on their pick, it means they have a comfortable enough lead which is their reward for solid picking thus far. There was one year like 4 years ago I wanna say, where I won college basketball pool by like 3500 units, something by a lot. I’m not gonna apologize or feel bad for literally crushing the rest of the people in the pool that year. I had a hell of a run that season, but I had a huge lead. It happens. I’ve been in bowl pools where some guys went like 31-9 ats. That’s amazing. Why should I potentially throw it away when I’m set in my current situation and let others catch me.

Respectfully disagree. If our sole purpose is to have the lead once we hit our minimum picks and then sit it out, where’s the sport in that? Hell, if I needed the money that badly, I’d just set up a Go Fund Me account. Otherwise, I’m playing my game throughout the end of the tournament. Everybody has their own way of playing it, but no, I’m not out of line to express my personal approach, nor am I out of line to comment on someone else’s.
I’m sure it would’ve been a helluva lot of fun for everyone had I still been sitting up there since Nov 2 at 1550 without a single play for over a month and a half. I go start to finish, bud. I don’t sit here and hope, like apparently a couple of other guys here like to do.

Your correlation of someone being totally out of the race and making no picks and someone being in the lead and making no picks makes absolutely no sense to me. How are they in any way the same? There is no correlation.
One of the situations MATTERS to the other contest members, while the other does not. They’re not equal scenarios in the eyes of the competition.
I gave up on baseball this last season because I was so far behind. My doing so had no impact on the dynamics that were taking place at the top of the lineup — the area of the contest where all our attention is focused. No one has an issue with someone who’s out of contention deciding to no longer play. Hell, I’m close to it in CBB right now, for crying out loud. Who’s gonna miss me?
The leaders though, that’s where EVERYONE’S focus is; and in the two scenarios you mentioned, there is a HUGE difference. Leaders keep pounding, losers fall to the wayside.
Your premise is false and has no bearing, as is your reprimand you’ve based on that premise.
Best of luck to you, I wish you well for the remainder of the pool.

I am saying you are out of line for talking shit to the one guy and basically calling him a box for not making picks. There’s a difference between commenting on and calling him out on. You’re looking for a fight. That’s why you’re out of line imo. You’re not doing it respectfull, you’re calling him a scared Bitch which isn’t right. I believe there’s been bowls Frankie’s done or maybe I’m getting confused with someone else, where you have to make a couple picks on the final weekend of the season, but in this pool, there’s no rule you have to do that so everyone’s playing by the rules. Going start to finish and not taking breaks every now and then is the gamblers path to ruin. If I had bet all my picks in this last year prior to bowl season, I’d be comfortably ahead. Bowl season still made me plus units but I was set back quite a bit. It’s not sitting back and hoping, it’s being prudent, wise and strategic.
And it does make sense, you dont care about someone not picking when they’re in last place yet you do when they’re in first place. They’re all equal. It’s the same way people treat April baseball games differently than the importance of September baseball games. They’re all equally important.

YOure acting too like he’s at 2000, rudies got 750. Literally a bad day by him and good day by a couple others and standings are totally changed.

I’m thinking God don’t like ugly. But hey, if you could squeeze out 3 more wins before championship night, that’d sure make it interesting. Whaddaya say, little rudie? You got 3 wins in ya?

So you’re playing it smart managing between 1st and 3rd, are ya? You had a MAGIC NUMBER of ONE to clinch 2nd place with 8 plays left — and you’re SITTING IT OUT? You’re a joke.

I dont no nobrainer & never heard of him before.
But i side with rudie anyway. Once u establish a lead & make the minimum # of plays for the contest you have every right to play out the contest however u want.
