Why is that we proceed to think that the best time to throw out a tip would be in the best weight for age race in Australisa...why not give us the Melb Cup winner as well because approx 50% of the horses that run each year in the Cup have never run over the distance, or seen the track....love your confidence, but simply hate these type of races as you loose more often than winning.
In saying all of the above I do wish you all the best Bo
It is my turn for our punter's club tomorrow so I'm hoping to find something at the moment but I have to wait until I purchase the bible aka Best Bets
Looking at the moment to take an All Up with Avenue (to win) into Carrara (to place) into Apache Cat (to win)

How about Northerly for the Cup...Can Bart win all 3 big ones I wonder
haha
Bart will win all 3. That's why Viewed is the bet. CC it was better this year than at that stage last year. All it needs to do is maintain it and it will win by at least 4 lengths.

For me gentleman my money will be on Alcopop for a place at $2.30 as a minimum. This is usually the hardest race of the year if you follow horses on a regular basis and that's why bookies love this time of the year. Do youself a favour after the race and add up all the money invested in the pools (Unitab, Super Tab & NSW Tab) and you will be staggered how much is bet per person here Down Under, and that doesn't take into account other money bet on internet accounts and local bookies etc etc
It's always a tough race to pick, so I'll stay with the above place bet for me

Warning after I have more detail regarding Alcopop, don't back him as there are too many factor's to go against him. Travelling in the heat over the Melb in a float, over 3 and a bit weeks since a run, not experienced enough just like the trainer. This reminds me of a similar horse that I know alot about in 'On a Jeune' who the connections learnt alot about the experience to which they made adjustments the following year and ran second to Makybe Diva (2006).
Just my thoughts and experience, GL to those having a bet but I'll have a couple of bucks E/W on the bottom weight
