Agreed. I was going to say why aren't they bowling Ryder. Near stumps. They are now. Has a knack of gettng wicket in first couple of overs.
And M.Clarke lost his wickets TWICE IN INDIA in the last over of the day.

But where will he go, with India having troubles??  He won't quit by himself. I think they keep him for Sth Africa 1st Test then start 2 all rounders again with WATSON. Winner stays.
Symonds is a great bloke to all his friends and team mates BUT anyone from public is treated like shit from him.
I just read where a fishing trip with him was being auctioned for charity. HE BID $8000 and went fishing by himself. That is fucked up.

YOU know you have reached the end of the road as a dignified sportsman when rugby league players steer clear of you because you are too much trouble.

It happened to Andrew Symonds at Brisbane's Normanby Hotel on Sunday when several Kangaroo players decided Symonds was an incident waiting to happen and moved on to other company.

Being brushed by league players because they deem you "too loud and arrogant" is like being taunted by Warwick Capper because your pants are too tight. It just doesn't get any worse than that . . . the final indignity for an arrogant, reckless man who refused to learn from his lessons.

Early this season there was an auction for a day's fishing with Symonds.

It fetched $8000 from - wait for it - Symonds himself who was relieved that he could go by himself.

Yeah, I wanted to back him against McCullum most runs. Don't trust either alot. Too up and down.

Hope he puts head down arse up and goes on with it.

wow very interesting...with Sth Africa coming up Australia could do with some more bowling depth as well

Don't think it matters too much though.
 
WACA is the next Test. Austalia will not play spinner there anyway.
But I think he just about guarantees a all up now.

There is no excuse NOT to pick Watson at the WACA.
 
Is there any reason TO pick Symonds. Not going well enough to be considered an all rounder. Will we need 2 all rounders? Don't think we need a spinner at WACA. Selectors may opt for a bowler Siddle or even Tait.
HAYDEN, KATICH, PONTING, HUSSEY, CLARKE, WATSON, HADDIN, LEE, JOHNSON, CLARK, SIDDLE.
May need extra bowler 1st up against Sth. Africa. Think batsmen hold their own.
