Good start for the SA openers, only 2 runs needed for this to hit - even despite the terrible fielding from the saffers
Looks like you called this one correctly gun, well done

Yes and no. I think Australia have started to believe their own hype, much like the Saffers did in games one and two.
We were down 2-nil remember, and have since won 3-0. I think we made them look good in Australia, I really do. They are a good, balanced test side. But they aren't the world beaters and conquerors that the media would have had you think after Melbourne.

absolutely, I don't even think they're the best South African side Australia has faced. The Saffers sides we beat in a couple of those series through the mid to late 90's with Donald, De villiers, Mc Millan ect were far tougher imo.
That was what made watching Australia's series loss in Australia so frustrating, knowing we were getting rolled by a team the old boys would've eaten for breakfast.

On talent and potential alone, I really reckon India is the best test team in the world atm. Terrific batting lineup and a very good pace and spin attack with plenty of depth.
Their biggest problem is between the ears, and their fielding, but the first one seems to be sorting itself out a bit of late, they've certainly toughened up outside of India.

No doubt. Explosive batting line-up. I love that arrogant little opener they have, can't place his name right now. Ponting is still having nightmares about Sharma I'd reckon.

What I want to know is how guys like Sharma just seem to waltz onto the scene and automatically know how to hoop the ball both ways ?! Sub continent pace bowlers are just so skillful in terms of getting the ball to swing.
In all honesty, our bowlers are completely lost when it comes to this kind of thing. They're "back of a length, six inches outside off stump" clones who find it very hard to adjust when conditions call for attacking the stumps (ie on a wearing 4th or 5th day wicket) or are conducive to a bit of reverse swing.
