Whilst we'll never know, there is nothing to suggest that they couldn't have taken them right after tea. The ball was reversing, I couldn't believe Ponting didn't go staight for Watson / Lee / Johnson.
That was the pivotal moment in the match - a match they had to win. I'm pretty sure that Australian cricket fans wouldn't have cared if Punter was suspended for the 1st test against NZ. I know I certainly wouldn't have.
I can only think he was getting advice from somewhere else, because if I was captain I would have went for the jugular, fuck a one suspension. A test series against India was at stake.
I blame the coach!!! All done and dusted now. I hate India but love cricket against them. We should have been 1 up after the first. 2 up after the last, maybe the 3rd too. I'm going next door to kick their bloody cat a few times. It always make me feel better.
