2011 YTD: &#x2B;5.56unitsEARLY LEANS:SAINTS 1-39             @$2.25DEES &#x2B;41.5              @$1.92   (BLUES 1-39 $2.55)SWANS h2h              @$1.87CROWS &#x2B;7.5            @$1.92  (CROWS h2h $2.22)ROOS &#x2B;33.5             @$1.92  (ROOS h2h $5.50)WCE -10.5 1stQ line  @1.92ALREADY PLAYED:WCE -10.5(1st quarter line) 1unit @$1.92---- I dont want to jynx myself with this selection, but i have to admit im pretty confident with it. although tigers have had the better of the eagles in recent times this years eagles team is a completely different outfit to what the tigers have faced in those games. but what sticks out the most is the tigers have only managed to win 5 1st quarters all year this season rd1 v blues, rd7 v dockers, rd9 v bombers, rd16 v bombers &amp; rd17 v GCS (amazingly they have only managed to win 1 of those games to which came v bombers rd9). tigers season is over and eagels want top 4. kerr is back in the side and it also seems nic nat has been named on an extended bench (so not 100% he&#x27;ll play but...). also its eagles 25yr celebration game so thy are gonna be FIRED UP. eagles to score first 3 or 4 goals of the game and tigers fighting up hill from there. ROOS &#x2B;33.5 1unit @$1.92  igri---- This is gonna be a real tough game for the kangaroos here and this game could get real close to the line. The reason why i have played it though is cause roos have been rather impressive (- the pies game) and havent been blown out lately. i realise the game is in tassie and thats hawks house of pain, but the last time these teams played was last year rd5 in tassie and the kangaroos won that game 82 to 70 (hawks only loss in their last 6 games there) also lets not forget that just over a month ago the roos sold games to tasmania to play there from next season onwards (in other words they cant AFFORD to be belted due to trying to build a fan base). other factors why i like the plus points is hawks have had 1 less day break and they played all the way in perth in shocking conditions which would have been taxing on them. buddy hasnt played overly well against the roos in the past with kangas having the right bodies to match up against him, but the hawks proved last week they dont need buddy to score all their goals to win convincingly . its the roos final life to give the top 8 a crack against a team they have had the better of the since 2008. i see hawks winning this game but not by 6 goals. roos wont let them

CROWS-DEES &#x2B;41.5-SWANS 0.25units @$7.97 ---- I like the crows as the underdogs here because i dont believe the lions will win without brown in the lineup even at home. crows looked slightly better last week with key players in different roles(which they no doubt will be playing again this week i.e. van berlo on ball and knights on wing etc). dees will come out HUGELY fired up this week (as teams seem to after sacking a coach) so i think they are capable of covering a 7goal line against a team who isnt playing the best footy atm. i like swans to come out fresh off a bye against a top 8 rival who they will be super eager to beat. i have for most the season believed the bombers are pretenders so i seem them tripping here.GL to all and as always tell us what you think

really like the Eagles 1st quarter myself

I can't believe the Kangaroos line they are playing for a finals spot and the Hawks haven't been the side to blow awawy teams with excellent midfields which Kangaroos have got. I reckon this game is almost a flip of the coin because they are seriously playing some of the best footy I have seen from them in the past couple of seasons. Can see the Hawks either hanging on for tough 22 point win or they lose this game by a kick. Good luck

I was considering the exact same bet for the WCE as you just never know if the likes of Martin, Cotchin etc are going to light up a quarter and damage the overall line. Love your analysis here of the Tigers first qtrs this season. The fact that the line is within two goals is delicious. Like you say not to jinx this but this is a bet I have alot of faith in, and I could increase my wager accordingly.

I've already played Saints / Hawks / Eagles / Blues @ 1.60 to win 2 x units. - 4 legs thought if any side loses here it will be a major upset and disappointment.

Also liking Adelaide and @ $2.22 Heads up I think they're a really nice bet. Maybe just playing with a harder edge under Bickley and I think the Lions are just making up the numbers at this point as you say without J Brown.

Tonight I've taken Stk 1-19 @ $4.90 and Stk 20-39 @ $4 ... equal units on each... what do you think of this Roosome??

Further, for the same reasons as the WCE Qtr time pick, I'm giving some good consideration to the Qtr Time lines of Geelong (-21.5) and the Pies (-17.5) - Thoughts on those people? Perhaps Port may come out feisty due to Chad Cornes that prick retiring, but I think the opposite may be the case at Geelong, the Cats might well think f*ck the Suns, they took Ablett let's give them a bath... but do people think they will win the first quarter by 22 points? If the start to last weeks match is any indication you'd say yes. I really think the likes of Selwood, Johnson, Chapman are going to go into party mode again.

Anyway nice thoughts again Rooboy and I rate the coming together of Aussies trying to beat the books! All opinions and banter is highly rated by myself.

Good luck  [/Quote]couldnt agree more mate. and the fact the roos have always given hawks trouble even in hawks premiership year gives me faith they can make it a closer game then 33 points. but roos have been known to roll over in the past making the bookies price them as such. but i do also believe this is a coin toss and giving roos the odds of $5.50 is an insult- but i guess they have built that rep for themselves and its up to them they break it! gonna be a battle of the youngsters!! cant wait till bastinac swallow and greenwood are in full swing with goldy and macca tapping it down. gonna be something to enjoy!!BOL this week bro

You can bet he mentioned that last week and they were right in the game till the last minutes and you can bet he will let them know that again on Sunday. Blues have more speed all over the ground than Hawthorn but they use the footy better so it nearly evens out. I just reckon the Roos will play on at every opportunity and the tall forwards will cause issues for the mid sized Hawk backline.

your multi of the 4 teams is strong one mate! there is no doubt all 4 of those teams should win. but being bias roos im always gonna say thats a tough pick- cause in all honesty i feel an upset brewing. not so much that its the roos last chance to play finals- but the fact that kangas beat them in tassie last year(which is the last time they faced one another), so the tassie angle means absolute dick all v the roos, who have  proven that ground doesnt hold any disadvantage against them in. but if i was to tell you who i thought would take the 4 points, it would have to be the hawks (they are a very impressive team this season. which is why they sit 3rd) and therefore i agree its a winning leg to a bet.i also have to agree i think the saints will win tonight (and i do think by less then 40, under the belief they dont usually blow teams out). so those odds you have taken are bargains i think!!! (remember im in perth so friday footy aint live here  and i wouldnt have the slightest clue on the score).geelong worries me a little due to how they came out against the suns earlier this season. the suns had them till half time then the cats came out and showed true class and belted them. but determining who gets the jump there eludes me. gazzaa not playing though means suns are in for a dicking- and i hope the after game beers taste as good for the players that bailed chasing $$ as it does for the teams still winning games.pies will killl port. none of their youngsters know the meaning of last games and chads is no exception. port are rubbish and they will get hammered. i almost believe they chose this week as an excuse to try give the premiership favs a run for their money by using chad. it wont work and yes i do think pies will be leading by at least 3 goals a Q time.GL nbird and i hope you enjoy the richers of a profitable weekend!!couldnt agree more about aussies smashing covers!!! rape the bookies

Cats will come out early and steam roll the Suns, no doubts about it -21 is a gift as they have pretty much got over that mid-season training and will now ram up their performance every single week and especially the 1st quarters. It will be their main focus to really finish the game early and I reckon they&#x27;ll have 43 points to 13 at quarter time.

ye that&#x27;s true man and Kangaroos have been down for a few years now. They have never totally bottomed out though and tended be hanging around middle of the table but I have watched alot of them this year and I seriously believe they have a very impressive group of young players ready to take the club up again. Ziebell is going to be an absolute gun (reminds me of Barlow), Swallow is in brownlow form along with Wells, Goldstein has come from no where to become the number 1 ruckman and is holding his own against the best. Sure you got champions in Petrie &amp; Harvey who are getting on now but they will get replaced and it will be managed perfectly by a coach who&#x27;s brother is right now doing the same thing at Geelong. I mean blokes like Milburn, Ling, Ottens even Mooney are slowly starting to fade away and getting replaced by new players hungry for their spot. List managment is what it&#x27;s all about.
