The above article (split the URL into two lines) states that the Dees aren't winning because they have no stamina and the gameplan demands that which they do not have.
And we all know that one of the Cats' strong-points is their stamina...they run you ragged.
Put 2 and 2 together and we have a Geelong win by ___.
Please fill in the blanks. The line is already up to 75.5.

OK, some more info coming in as we get closer to the Geelong-Melbourne match. ---------- Asked if he may be tempted to flood to alleviate the damage should
things get ugly, Bailey said: "We're not going to shut the game down
and minimise a loss because you're already accepting defeat … and we
won't be accepting that."
Seems like the Dees WILL NOT be playing to keep the score down to a respectable level. They will be playing their game and if they keep on getting pounded for it, then so be it.
A good article analyzing the stats for both teams and why the Dees will be in for a long match.
------
And a recap of the February NAB Cup match in which Geelong opened up a 63-point lead in the mid-2nd Quarter. They were also resting a lot of their top players.
Well, with this info to boot, it seems less and less likely that Melbourne will beat the head-start. I am now heavily leaning on the Cats minus the points. Anyone else have any input?

I don't think its melbourne's fitness thats the problem. They have some players not up to AFL level.
Their (supposed) best players aren't performing and really don't look very interested (Cameron Bruce for example). Their forward line, where do I start, Neitz, IMO is ok, when fit but the rest are far from it. robertson can be a handy flanker or pocket by they are relying on him to be a major part and he's more of an opportunist.
Carroll is one of the few playing great football.
They have put in a better performance in the first 2 halves than what the scoreboard indicates. In the first half last week, it was only been the intense pressure put on them by the dogs that caused mistakes and turnovers.

One thing that has become evident in watching Cats game. They do not run the game down in the last few minutes of a quarter or when they have big leads...... you could argue except for game one...... they just keep at it. Skill + confidence = Possible 2009 Premiers.
