Carlton do look great value to pull this one off ....they will be very dissapointed after last weeks effort against the crows and will wanna bounce back here against the Egirls who are really playing attrociously and there is a good chance kerr and staker will be out ......and get ready to watch judd absolutely murder his old team , id say 35 touches , 4 goals will be my prediction..... blues great value get on early

- Saints playing awful ...... richmond giving the top teams a good fight
- Adelaide and kangaroo defense holding teams to low totals (Under written all over it).....does this mean a small winning margin for either side here
- Sydneys ability to smother running teams and winning their own hard balls ..... are the bulldogs ferocious enough?
- Melbourne must feel this is it ....finally a winning chance again .....will they take it ..... will freo go back to the same old this week ?
Essendon showed that they are nothing but an offense team ..... do they have the artilary to outgun port ..... and will the loss of chad cornes effect how port go about their buisness .....because the coach seems to think so .....and so do port adelaide putting a player injured out on the ground means they have no confidence without him ? or does it

After some thought over the past hour or so I don't believe any of the games provide any real value. I will add more later in the week, I will have to do more than the usual research this week to find 1 or 2 plays. Sometimes it's better to lay off and wait for a better round... in this game you just have to be patient!

Gman, I hope Leathal Leigh didn't say the usual bullshit and say they could beat the cats. I thought he would be more clever than that.
Binomial, I agree, I think the tigers have been almost faultless since their shakeup a few weeks ago, when they dropped Bowden and weren't going to take half arsed efforts any longer.

Essendon are missing alot of decent players. Lucas, Mcveigh, Davey, Dempsey who was impressive in the first few games, plus a few other lesser players. I think their talent level has dropped below competitive.

I do actually like Port in this situation, they have the pace to keep up with Ess, have the 'small' forwards that Ess have trouble covering (just like they did against Coll), Ess reducing in confidence every week, Ports onball is much more experienced and better overall, K. Cornes will more than likely get the job on Ess best play maker over the last couple of weeks in Stanton (debatable I know, but when he is on...he is on!), Port have that little extra rest required (IMO) when any side travels interstate, and their record at the Dome is ok I believe.
And unlucky with the netball binomial by the sounds of it, it is always frustrating when you are so close only for a few things to go wrong in the end
And g-man, the Mathews call on Bris being able to beat the Cats... reminds me of the time he made the statement in 2001 'If bleeds...we can kill it' regarding to the fact they could beat Ess at the time, and they did! The line is a great one from a classic movie in the 'Predator'.

Port hasn't smashed anybody but they've played (Geelong, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, WC, St Kilda) probably played 5 top 8 teams. The Port line is starting to appeal.

Hard to get to excited about Carlton after I tried to talk them up last round and they put in a soft performance. However, Kerr is suspended, I heard Hunter and Hurn are on crutches and Cox is questionable at least after limping off, and they were already at disgraceful.
Have to think Judd will put them in their place.

Possibly be tempted by Freo as I am not sure Melbourne could win if they are the only team out there. They are trying to play a high possession game when their skill level and decision making are hideous. Handpasses to players less than a metre away, marked by more than one opposition player were numerous.
In my opinion they should move to the kick it as far as you can towards the goal quickly game plan, while they head up to NT and northern WA and recruit about 25 locals.

I agree with you, a relatively low spread, 4 goals, any of the 15 sides should be able to beat melbourne by more than that. The only advantage is they have home ground.

I don't know much about mumford, and neither have I heard many people say that he is good. Yes there is talk of him but not that to hype him up or anything. I think they're just giving their younger ruckmen a chance of experience whilst ottens is out.
