That Aussie team is absolutely dismal, but well done to the Kiwis.  The ICC rankings are terrible imo, despite history, the Aussies do not deserve to be as high as they are.

I have to say I agree with you Rod. The selectors have been so wrong it is scary. Why hasn't Hodge been picked over the last 3-5 years? How do you play Cameron White as a batsman? What has Symonds done apart from one World Cup game? Hauritz? I know these guys weren't playing last night, but you get my drift..
 
Look at the NZ side. Apart from McCullum (who got naught and they still won), Vetorri and possibly Taylor, the rest would do well to get picked for a state side (no disrespect morbe). Yet they come to PERTH and bowl Australia out for 181? Apart from Haddin, Hussey and Johnson, not one of them managed to score 20 runs!?
 
It is time for mass upheaval. Blood some kids, fuck they couldn't do any worse than this dribble. And don't give me this transition bullshit. Throw NSW or the Vics out there last night and they win.
 
Too much deadwood imo. Who cares if we lose this series 5-0? As Rod says, time to rebuild. I'd struggle to name 3 guys from last night's side who deserve to be there at the moment.

1) Shaun Tait - Can't catch, fast but not accurate bowler.
2) David Hussey - Crap batter, ordinary spinner.
3) Hilfenhaus - Fast bowler, lovely to hit.
4) Johnson - A lot of learning to do.

- Clarke
- Hussey
 
Learning the game;
- Warner
 
Coming into form;
Haddin (Not a premier WK)
 
They need to replace Warner with Phil Hughes, Hilfenhaus for Nannes...... Can't do much else when the batting line up is out of form and you have crap bowling support.

Brad Hodge should definitely be in the ODI and Twenty20 teams. I've heard/read so many current state players saying that he is clearly the best domestic batsman going around
 
Instead they now call up Callum Ferguson and Adam Voges to replace Ponting and Shaun Marsh

Rod they were going to pick Joey Johns to head off the batting but apparently he is booked to play NBL with the Blaze next year
