I have mentioned many times before that I know my Adelaide teams and tonight is a very good spot for them here, trust me...

I'm not sure, I think minus the points is a better bet.  Geelong have more of their stronger team in the game than it looks like Adelaide have and its at the dome.

Crows like playing at the dome, they have a good record their and besides I know the Adel side after having a run under their belt in Darwin a couple of weeks ago will be better prepared for this then the Cats IMO.  Round 1...revenge factor for the Cats against the Hawks I would have thought would be a bigger priority, and like I said...I know my Adel sides and this, if any, is a very good 'spot' for them, take as you will

WOW WHAT A WIN TO HAWKS...

Down 33 points at 3/4 time and TAB had them at $10.00 for the win from there....

6 goals to none in final qtr... I had them 1-39 so happy about that...

i think cats losing the gf last year isnt a good thing for the bookies this year as they will be pretty hungry to get back the flag! and more likely to cover most of their games!

Well, that wasn't a good idea in the end.  Still believe I had the right thought patterns, Crows just let the Cats go in burst's which cost them in the end...was hopeing for a back door cover but again another spurt cost me!

It could only happen in a pre season match but TAB Sportsbet report that a customer has placed $30,000 on 2008 Wooden Spooners Melbourne to defeat 2008 Premiers Hawthorn in a Pre-Season Cup match to be played in Tasmania on Saturday. The bet was placed only a matter of moments after the market was opened this afternoon at the odds of 3.15 with a potential return of $94,500 to the customer if the Demons are successful. The Demons are now into 2.90 after Hawthorn announced that up to nine of it's Premiership players will be missing, including star forward Lance Franklin.

UPDATE (Friday 20 February 12:00): TAB Sportsbet has just accepted a further $20,000 on 2008 Wooden Spooners Melbourne to defeat 2008 Premiers Hawthorn in their 1st round NAB Cup clash in Launceston on Sunday. The customer took the price of 2.90 which followed a bet of $30,000 at 3.15 on the Demons yesterday. This takes the total invested so far on Melbourne to $58,000 with only $543 being placed on Hawthorn.

I didn't see your thread Miracle. Sorry I would have warned you that Neil Craig had been talking about putting in youngsters and moving players from their normal positions to try them in others. When he made the comment on radio that Henschel would spearhead their new forward line I almost feel of my chair laughing.
