Hoh"s Drunken AFL Round 15 Spoutfest

Hope ye are all having a good season.  Been absent for a bit due to work and stress and about 15 added kilos on me gut that is total rubbish and should be cut off immediately.  Well, nothing that a Boag's Lager can't work out, eh?

Anyway.....

I have been, in me absence, enjoying this AFL season immensely.  (if any of you brings up me Roosters im'na have you shot)

Tonight's shit of choice is Polish honey liquor.  Ummmm...yummy.

Anyway, I have been doing well this AFL season and for this round I like three matches.

First is Port with the start versus their bros the Crows.  26.5 is way too much for this rivalry game and I reckon the Power get out with the start.

Second is West Coast -15.5.  Too good for the Roos and itching for me Swannies next round.

Finally is Sydney 1-24 at $3.95.  I don't feel they cover the full line, but get it done.  Almost four dollars for this is unreal value.  Almost unbelievable. BEST BET

Let me start this by saying, so how aboot them Roosters eh

West Coast and Roos is down in Tassie, that one scares me I have a feeling Roos could upset the Eagles down there or at least keep it close.

Good luck on that 1-24. Lions will win by 10 goals though, Browny to kick 15

Seriously Swans should cover the -20, Lions have been playing good football but Swans are just too good.

My choice of beverage for this evening is the Pure Malt Ale made by one of the beer guru's down here, believe he teaches a brewing course at the hick uni down in Geelong.

Oh boy Carlton up at 3Q time, so glad I didnt play my lean of Pies to cover. Wasn't gonna risk it or the 1-39 after last week.

Told my mate today who barracks for the Blues they were gonna get thrashed.

I gotta hit up this new bottler that opened up not too long ago.  Something like 300 different beers they supposedly carry.  I have to find me a place that has unexpired Boag's for offer.  That or Cooper's.  Really great beer.

Nah those Pies tips were made sober, when I was drunk I was wishing I'd had a punt, until I saw the scores.

Coopers is ok, Boags Strongarm Bitter was ace on tap but I belee dey discontinued dat long ago. Rest is watery piss only really good for beer batter.

I have no idea why you'd want to pay ridiculous export prices for mediocre convict swill when you live in the land of freedom and craft beer innovation.

Yeah, Bells is everywhere around here.  All the ladies like drinking it with an orange slice in their pint glass.  Ummm.....yeaaaah, I'll pass.  Hahaha.  They have good brews though, I just don't care too much for microbrews.

Rogue is readily available here too.  Heard good things about it.  Best Michigan microbrew is Founders.  See if you can find any Founders at one of your specialty shops.  Maybe not as they are low-volume and sometimes hard to find up here!  Amazing stuff.  World medal winning.  Breakfast Stout is my favorite of theirs.  If you love coffee and chocolate, it's a winner.  I also LOVE the artwork on their beers.  Very cool.  Check them out:

OK, lesson learned, do not, I repeat, DO NOT make picks torqued up.  Because then you miss all three of them and wonder what you saw in any of that.  Hahaha.

Ooooooor....make a few picks while pissed up good and then FADE THEM once you sober up.

The fruit slices are for hefeweizen, which is for girls and limp wristed queers anyway.

Michigan is too poor to export their beers. 

 know we don't get founders down here, mates runs a specialist store and we're pally with the distributor. Sierra Nevada, Southern Tier, Brooklyn Brewery, Rogue, North Coast, Red Seal are the most common merica craftbrews available off the top of my head.

But I do love me some chocolate stout too.

Anyhoo.....this round tipping drunk ruined by solid AFL run I was having in private to myself.

I think I'll tip next round sober and see if I can get back to it.

I already know in my bones of bones that West Coast will be favored over Sydney.....just like Hawthorn was (18.5) and just like Essendon was (9.5) and I laughed and laughed and laughed and said why is the better team getting the points?

Gonna be the same in Round 16 as surely the Swans will be getting points.  And the Swans will win.

But let's wait and see what they give us and what the other matches look like.  We'll do it right and proper next round.

Newkie isn't bad. the Mexican one Negra Modelo is pretty good too. I find Brown ales a bit bland tbh. In saying that a small craftbrewery from Melbourne who mostly do small batch experimental ales concocted this India Brown Ale called "Henry Fords Girthsome Fjord" with Belgian yeast and dark muscovado sugar and a bunch of fancy hops, it comes in at around 9% with no hint of alcohol burn. Just really rich malty, fruit dark plum/raison bittersweetness. The beers are like $10 aud retail for a single 330ml and around $130 aud for a 24x carton cost price, insanely overpriced but the brain and liver somehow justifies it, like their Cognac barrel aged IPA. One sip of either and you're hooked, I refer to them as my crack cocaine.

You ever had the English Black Ale Old Peculier?
I got a box of the 500ml's at cost price today.

Swans are +11.5 dogs if you haven't noticed already.

Eagles off a trip to Tassie, were lucky North have a habit of going home after HT. Swans off a home game training drill against Brisbane.

Nope, haven't had the Old Peculiar.

Swans as dogs, just as the plan says it should go.
