Xiang Lu .....+115

A ton of pressure on Lu to perform his best in front of his country.  Robles is in really good form leading up to the Olympics.  

Any opinions who will take this? Bidmerun, what do you think?

My book has Lu at -110 and it opened at +120, i think Lu will get the job done. Ur getting value at the price of +115 but thats my opinion

I really think that Lu gets toasted here.  He's a great technician but the speed won't be there to run with Robles.  Lu is holding an entire country's hope for a gold medal on the track and I don't think he handles it.  I'll probably be putting two or three units on Robles at 4 to 5 and a half unit on one of the Americans at 8 to 1 or better.

Yeah, the pressure for the Chinese Lu must be enormous and with hurdles, one fart and it's over.

I like the American here too.

The US will probably go bronze here.  It will be Robles, Lu or that Frenchman (don't recall his name) in that order.  Let see.

The Chinese have already said (and put it in print) that if Lu doesn't win a gold medal for China that his gold medal in Athens would be all for not!  Nice vote of confidence, huh?

What a stupid thing for the Chinese to say.  Lu is going to be a headcase with all this pressure and will be running against the world record holder in Robles.  Not a good combination.

xiang lu blew away the competition 4 years ago...now gets a chance to do it in his home country..pffft taking someone cause of there form leading up Xiang lu hasnt gotten in 1st gear yet but will soon.xiang lu will take the gold medal in the 110 metre hurdles

This really sounds like a comment from someone who doesn't know much about track.  Betting on someone's form leading up to a race is exactly what you want to do.  Liu has the #17 time in the world this year.He's still stuck in first gear while everyone else is switching to fourth.  Maybe he pulls a rabbit out of his ass and gets this one, but I don't see it.

Lu has not been running well lately.  Last meet in Oregon, he false started and got disqualified.  The pressure will be tremendous for him to carry at home.  Robles is a very strong runner and is very good position to take the gold for Cuba barring from injury.

your right i dont follow track it was on of the top 5 best performances at the last olympics so going for lu..not putting any on till the final if /when he makes it.

Bump ...

Robles is +700 for this year's olympics.  Seems unusually good odds, am I missing something here?  I know he was injured in 2009, but he seems to be just fine now.

My book has some better finishing position that I need help on for the men 110m hurdles.  Merritt -135 vs Liu +105  And Richardson -200 vs Pobles +160. Not sure but both dogs look good, anyone?
