This punk's poor statistics are only the very smallest tip of the iceberg. The big issue with Johnson is his technique - it's appalling. Kids of 10 and 11 years old can't get away with bowling with such a low side-arm action and with such a terrible wrist position. 

He opens out so much at delivery, so his front arm and upper body basically drags away hard to the right which pulls him chest on as he bowls the ball. So you've got a guy who is falling away in his action and bowling with a 45 degree bowling arm - there is physically no way he can consistently know where the hell the ball is going to go when it leaves his hand.

You cannot have a guy in a test bowling attack who is running in and just hoping he can land it somewhere reasonable. He has massive problems that need time and hard work to fix because at the moment he has no place in test cricket.   

 


Maybe you should apply for one of the bowling coaches roles, sure he is not bowling well for whatever reason but to think at all that his action has not been disected by those with far greater knowledge at this level or any level coming thru is absolute absurdity.

Ryan Harris tries very hard and can at least bowl straight but at the end of the day is still a spastic by test standards.

Leave the openers as is. Their opening partnership ave is greater then Hayden/Langer. One of the only positives the aussies have going for them. If Hughes comes in put him at 6. Blood the guy with the view of putting back as opener or 3 when Katich or Ponting retire

Harris' body will have trouble holding up for 5 days, its why he has only ever played 2 tests

If bollinger comes into the team (and he should), that means australia will have a very long tail. Bollinger is a wicket taker. Lets find some fiery young paceman to stir up the poms and take some wickets. Haus and siddle hardly strike fear into batsmen, especially as opening bowlers. Aussies need wicket takers. Coepland is the future, but this maybe too soon and he aint fit

With everything that is being said by the coach and the selectors, Johnson will play the second test.

They won't change the team at all until the third test IMO. They will give everyone a second chance. It's how the selectors work!

Now there is speculation going around that Johnson is out and is replaced by Harris.

I would believe Sandy Roberts anyday of the week. His word is gospel!

Johnson - who is expected to be replaced by fellow left-hand quick Doug Bollinger - is reportedly furious at being dropped and has refused to train with the Aussies in the Adelaide nets at the team’s last full practice hit-out.

Sandy Roberts confirmed it first and he's usually right with the shit he says.

As much I dislike Johnson's bowling I don't believe for one second that he'd do that. 

Fcuking amazed at the ridiculous sentiment from some guys including Merv Hughes who say Johnson shouldn't be dropped purely because it would be too big a blow to his fragile confidence. Give me a fucking break. 

The best thing for Johnson is time out of the test scene to work on getting his bowling arm higher and bowling 'over the top'. Unless he does that he'll continue to bowl the custard ass shit he does now
