MLB stuff for August 23 - 29
HK,
Following up on your response to my post in your baseball forum thread yesterday,
Stew Baker - A biorthym chart that is in transition.
So, for the sake of projecting performance on a given day, is there any difference between B-/C-, B-/C+, and plain B-? Which, if any, is better for a given day, if so, by much? Also, using the example of the charts of Aug. 16 - 22, most of the slash-ratngs start with B-, (with one A-/B+ - Kevin Correia on Aug.21, and one C-/D- - Livan Hernandez on Aug. 18), and most of the B-s are followed by a slash. Any explanation for this?
Thanks.

- if the opposing pitcher have a good rating. Upgrade the units wagered especially if the pitcher you're backing is coming off a non-quality start. That pitcher will usually pitch better or have better results in other aspects of the game (run-support, team defense).
- if the pitcher being wagered against is coming off a quality start. Usually, that pitcher' numbers will regress; example: he's more likely to give up more earned-runs than the previous start.

So if even an optimal bio of A-/B+ has bad aspects, then everyone on their best bio days must have bad aspects, no? And when there is one or more underscores in a profile, that means the bad aspects that do exist are more prominent than normal?
Yes. A pitcher can pitch well and be unlucky. These types of aspects can produce a low-scoring game. When both pitchers have those types of ratings, you can expect such a game. For example, i usually lean on playing the Under when both pitchers have B+ ratings.
On the other hand, i usually lean on playing the Under when both pitchers have C- ratings.
Two prime examplesfrom yesterday:
Wednesday, August 25. National League:
Although it took a while and the Over was somewhat a lucky bet, the Over 8 hit in the 9th inning of that Marlins/Mets game.
And the Cardinals/Pirates game stayed Under 8.5.

Answer: Not necessarily. But as i've stated before: Stay away from pitchers that have the SA, MA, SU & JU undercores.
SA = Saturn = status, career
JU = Jupiter = expansion, success
MA = energy, passion
SU = vitality
Talking about prominence i've found those 4 planets to have the most confluences in competitive sports.
For example, a pitcher with a bad Sun alignment (underscore _) will usually not pitch well or worse than his last time out.
A pitcher with a good Sun alignment (uptick ^) will usually pitch well or better than his last time out.

FLA: Anibal Sánchez C- maybe
NYM: Jonathon Niese C+ ^VE*UR ^ME*VE ^SU&SU ^SUtNE good
Anibal Sánchez has a minor good aligment that may or may not have an impact on his performace.
Jonathon Niese have 4 good aligments. I expect him to do very well tonight.
I made a 1.5 units play in the Mets.

Looks like Anibal's minor good mojo trumped Jonathon's major good mojo. Or maybe the Mets' team mojo was low.
