NBL admin don't appear even to have the skills to divide the season into rounds sensibly. It appeare R1 runs through Sunday week.

Looking at their line up Souths look like they have a couple of weaknesses PG and C. Pre season suggests C is not a problem with Horvath reportedly back to his best form averaging 22 a game over their 7 preseason outings.
7 from 7 in the preseason (24 out of 28 quarters reportedly) putting up big scores suggests PG isn't a problem either. Last hit out was 118-98 against Adelaide and before that 121-98 against NZ, both in regional Victoria.
Cairns look impressive on paper, but they looked just as impressive on paper last year. If Darnell Mee, Cattalini and Stephen Black are healthy they will be hard to beat, especially at home. However, t doesn't seem likely they will stay healthy given their aging list.
Super coach Goorjian lead Sydney to 27-3 in the regular season last year. Arguably Souths have a better starting line up with Horvath playing well. I don't think Cairns will dominate them given their preseason form, I reckon it should at least be close.
Souths looking to play uptempo. Practice games suggest they will be a high scoring team. Total looks to low to me.
