Hi guys. Now that Round Five be finished, and we have a little breather time in-between, I figured I'd start a light-hearted thread.
I've been thinking about this the past couple of years. I really do think that the AFL is the greatest sport to wager on in the world. Not only is the sport dynamic and fun-to-watch, but the sheer number of available wagers and props, number of games in a season, and mid-round hijinks makes it fun and never stale. Also, this has to be the only sport in which the linesmakers can truly be way off round-in and round-out on the lines. 40-50+ points off the spread. So, if you know your stuff, you have a great opportunity in front of you. It is very hard to say that about other sports because the linesmen normally have the lines/spreads pegged down to a tee. The opportunities available in AFL wagering doesn't exist in any other sport, IMO.
What do you guys think? What is your favorite sport, college, pro, or otherwise, to wager on, and where does AFL rank for you? And what makes throwing your hard-earned on the AFL such a blast?
Cheers and I look forward to hearing your responces!

AFL for sure..the lines arent as sharp as they are in us sports like NBA because theres not as many bookies as in the us..i been following the sport for about 6 years now so know it well theres usually 2 games a week that are good picks and one of them a solid pick. while theres usually 3 games that are toss of the coins. fun to cap too cause your bet can be up by 60 then leave u sweating it out in the last 5 mins as the other team dominates a qtr..best times are when your pick wins after 10 mins in the 1st qtr or when your team kicks 30 pts in a row to finish the game.

UFC can be very predictable, but you are paying heavy vig on the favorites in a sport in which one punch can change everything. It's too risky........kind of like a Top 3 or Top 8 Finish wager in F1.
