what the fcuk was that tripe we served up as our bid presentation ?? A cartoon kangaroo being chased by Paul Hogan with bit-part cameos from totally non-soccer related former sports identities ?

The whole couple of nights over there in Zurich watching it all unfold was totally bizarre.
In any case FIFA the whole thing was a joke and something that I hope Australia doesn't bother pursuing again until FIFA gets fair dinkum. Those officials are a bunch of greasy old crocodiles. I can only imagine some of the stuff that went on behind the scenes to 'convince' them to go with Qatar

really is such a shame but I was actually one of those that sorta never felt like we were in with a chance until about 30 minutes before the announcement and skynews said w'word coming in is that's it's a 2-horse race between Qatar and us aussies but ye very dissapointing not just for us as the public but the growth to the economy for our children and even children's children would have been invaluable
but I guess in some strange way, our seclusion from the world also is the reason why Australia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and always will be!
Hopefully the socceroos will keep up their dominance throughout the century and show FIFA what a talent we are
