Rod's NBL Finals Week 1

Overall YTD (87-60-1) &#x2B;78.77 units&#xD;&#xA;Getting on this one now, the away team have covered in each of the 3 games in the series this season. Momentum is obviously a key factor coming into a playoff series and the Taipans definitely have that but the Breakers didn&#x27;t wait so many years to finally make the playoffs to put in a stinker. Add to that the Taipans have the least impressive home record of all the teams in the playoffs I like the Breakers to keep this one close.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Breakers &#x2B;7.5 over Taipans (7)&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Small lean on the over especially with the Taipans seemingly rediscovering their offense late in the season. Will think about it a bit more.

One thing worth thinking about in regard to the over is that in Perth NZ kept fouling to the end even though they were 10&#x2B; behind.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The play by play at the NBL site is indecipherable gibberish, but there was something like 30 points scored in the last 3 minutes because of this.

It&#x27;s their only chance tonight to win IMO because you know the Snakes will win if this becomes a grind. Hoping for a similar 3 point shooting display by the Breakers in Cairns tonight

No over analysing for tonight. Taking the better team who have unfinished business after being in the same position as last season but losing the playoff game against the Taipans.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Wildcats -8.5 over Crocs (5)&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The NBL playoff format is a bit of a joke, brutal schedule for the Crocs having to play on Wednesday and then back up and play on Friday on the other side of the country.

Any opinion of the total in this match.

Was tempted to take the over seeing how low it has been set but then felt the side was the better play (should have done that last night as well and left the total alone).
