rod what do u think about -7.5 wildcats for tonight, just feel like with the lay off for sinapore and all the festivities that have gone on with christmas and new years that they are a bit out of form..plus I feel their is a revenge factor to take into consideration carrying over from the ot loss on theit home floor also like the D that the wildcats have been playing lately
 
possibly take the under as well

Agree. Any team that loses to Singapore this season have to feel embarrased given they are essentially a 3 man team. Wildcats won't take them lightly tonight and add to the fact that they dropped a game against the Tigers over the weekend this becomes pretty close to a must win for them.

threw a little on the under, I hope the wildcats realize they need to make a push to move up in the standings and with this being the easiest fixture in the upcomming schedule they need to execute to build some momentum for the upcoming games

Rod and others, I'm looking to bet a little smarter in the new year and this includes moving away from TAB as my sole book. Would really appreciate some feedback on which online books you use for particular sports, including o/s books if you're Australian. My betting is generally limited to NBA, NBL, NRL and Rugby although I do have smaller plays on other sports. Centrebet and Sportingbet seem to have a good variety of markets with attractive lines.
 
If you don't have time or do not feel inclined to disclose this info. I will not be offended in the slightest.

Hi Gun7, I can say that sportingbet is very good, but lately I personally have been on the wrong side by either a point or half a point so and that makes me very angry!  They are good.  I have been looking at 'sportsbook' lately which seem like very good as they have many options as well.
 
I haven't looked at centrebet as their web site seems difficult to navigate.
 
My only advise is that if you are looking to take this more seriously (punting that is), then you will have to look at setting up a couple of accounts as small variations in lines and prices can really make a difference!
 
That's my 2 cents worth, but whatever you do get out of TAB as they simply have terrible lines and prices...I would guess that about 90% of the times you can find better lines elsewhere.

I'll have a look at 'sportsbook' now.
 
Not only are the lines dodgy at TAB, but they didn't pay out on an NBA win (29/12/07 - Indiana +9.5 vs Detroit) forcing me to go through a claims procedure that is ongoing.

Betfair are great (but as broad in range as most of their markets are, they don't normally offer game totals in the NBL).

rod was wondering if you had any leans on any of the nbl matchups
 
want to take the breakers -1.5 but have a bad feeling about this game seems to easy
 
wish there were more people with some input on these games but maybe I should just lay off
 
no need to force action

Gun7, I mainly use sportingbet, they are pretty good across the board. I also have a centrebet account, and whilst their website does look like it was designed by a drunk, there lines are pretty competitive. Smart move re TAB, those bastards are crooks

My online book of choice is hands down Centrebet, the best fixed book out there for the sports you mentioned. Quick payouts, reasonably competitve lines and betting options available is sufficient to satisfy your needs.

It's hard to fade the Hawks at the moment even though this team is severely undermanned they have been punching above their weight and have been really competitive since they released Reyes. They are 5-0 ATS since they lost Reyes and in fact have the longest ATS streak in the league right now. Breakers are on a tough stretch of games at the moment having had to play the Kings a couple of night ago, then a game tonight followed by a B2b game tomorrow night against the Pigs. Hawks generally defend the perimiter well therefore could potential take the Breakers 2 main offensive weapons in Penney and Jones out of the game because the Breakers live and die by those 2 3 point shooting on offense.

the thing is that I was really impressed by was how the breakers played against the kings this past weekend, I also read somewhere how the team was really focused for these next few games cause if they lose these they will have a huge uphill climb to try and make the play-offs because of their tough remaining schedule..factor in how they beat this team twice this year and with this tiny spread I think they should be able to come out on top again
 
just like to hear other peoples insights and other useful information like you provided above, helps me go over a few things and see if I should layoff
