The Indian Cricket team

With a population of over 1 bill people.

Cricket being the national sport.

No other sport competes in that country,ie, do they even play tenns? Rugby? League? Basketball? Track and Field? Volley ball? There soccer team is ordinary...

The question is, how isnt this team the domination of world cricket by a mile.....

How dont they have someone in a cricket mad nation out of 1 bill people that can bowl over 150 kmh?

Just baffles the mind......

probably for the same reason they don't dominate olympic games etc - they are imo a genetically challenged race of people in terms of speed, strength, power, athleticism. 

Do 99.9999% of Indian males look like they're physically equipped to cope with the enormous stresses and strains that bowling 150km/hr places on the human body ?  

I don't think they're as mentally or emotionally strong as Australians per se either. They have a tendency to want to stick their tail between their legs, pack up shop and go home where its comfortable when the going gets tough. That's a trait that's been ingrained in Indian cricket for a long time and while this contemporary batch of Indian cricketers seem to be a bit more brash and self confident, it's still something that will take a while to completely disappear.

Probably because the majority of the poor bastards over there are in poverty

have u ever been to the "sub-continent" mate, half of the population dont know where their next meal come from, the other 45% live in what we would perceive as poverty, playing sport comes a big second to just getting by.
