You, by the way, are absolutely right.  I think some of the "eilte" programs are clogged with so-so kids from Gilman, Boys Latin and Great Neck, who just aren't as good as the best kids from places you've never heard of.  The team I follow might literally have nothing but high school all-americans on it, but some of them look awfully average when they actually get on the field.
