Because about.com never has any real information. When I read About.com I feel like I'm listening to the weekly media session w/ Obama's White House spokesman.
CNET sucks because you're limited to 250 words in their reviews section. 250 words about the pros and cons of the new Droid Incredible? Come on! I'd find more room to write something relevant on a bathroom wall!!!

I hate these two sites:
ABOUT.COM
and
CNET (but not as much as ABOUT.COM)
WHY?
Because about.com never has any real information. When I read About.com I feel like I'm listening to the weekly media session w/ Obama's White House spokesman.

I don't go to these sites, but too often an article links to these sites, upon which the quest for any in-depth information ceases immediately when About.com opens up.
WhiteMice,
The reviews on cnet are great, and I probably unfairly slammed 'em. But if you try to add your own feedback about a product, 250 words isn't very much space. This tells me that a negative viewpoint on a product is very limited, in terms of space.
Fortunately we still have sites like Consumer Reports, where that type of bias is better hidden.
Sort of like facebook not allowing a "dislike" widget.
