Arxidi, its the truth mate. You spoke the truth. Agreed. I haven't been good this past 5-6 weeks in the NBL. Was above 50% just after new years but falling away.. Been a tough new year but the reason I post my record is to show how I am going in this sport/league so people know whether to tail or not. I will continue to post but people need to be aware that I am cold right now..
Peekay and DaveNz, cheers fellas for the support.
all good aussie, atleast your honest about it. i was just mad cause damn adelaide turned to garbage in that last quarter, so many turovers in the first few minutes of the last quarter was shocking.. whose your pick to take it all out? illawarra look unstoppable when they shoot the ball that well, but perth and melbourne with the home ground will be too strong?

Thanks mate.. I was mad as well because they got within 1 point in the 3Q and then just blew it..
I have 2 futures pending, I grabbed Melbourne to win it @ $2.90 back around week 7 and I also have Townsville Fire in the WNBL to make the GF at $1.80 which I grabbed 2 weeks ago.
I think it will come down to Melbourne or Perth. Like you said, home court is massive. If Hawks travel to Perth, it would require a monster effort from them to win a game in Perth. Perth is their voodoo, I think it has been 20 games now since they last won over there. Melbourne/NZ would be a fun series, NZ can definitely challenge them but it depends on what NZ side actually shows up.

Tail with caution.. Cold as ice right now across both leagues. Putting my attention to the WNBL tonight. A very significant game tonight. Sydney vs Perth. Perth embarrassed last night losing S/U as -10 fav's to the Capitals who got their first win of the season after 22 games. Sydney are on a downward spiral after losing their key big girl Carolyn Swords. In their last 5 games, they have lost all 5 and they have lost badly against Rangers x 2, SEQ Stars, Fire and Bendigo. This series is currently sitting at 1-1. Sydney sitting in 6, Perth 3rd. Perth cannot afford to lose this game because they head up to Townsville next weekend which is a very tough place to get a win and if they lost this game, then they face losing their playoff spot if SEQ, Bendigo and Sydney all win their games.
SEQ have Capitals tomorrow, then Rangers and Melbourne.
Bendigo has Adelaide tomorrow followed by Flames and Capitals.
Sydney has Bendigo after this game and thats it..
With Swords out of the line-up, I think the bigs for the Lynx will be too much. Sydney are going to have to win this game with some outstanding perimeter shooting if they are to have a chance. Perth walked into Canberra last night with the wrong game plan and faced a desperate Canberra team needing a win and that was shown on the box score when Canberra's starters all played over 35 mins.
Lynx's bench only produced 10 points last night which is not good enough. I just think Perth has too much firepower for the Flames big and small.
Perth Lynx @ Sydney Uni Flames: Lynx +1.5 (Centrebet)
Not that Sportsbet has the Lynx favored now but I will take a the extra 1.5 just in case..

Keep your head up brother. This league is at its hardest to cap at this time of the season, I know that all too well. The way I see it a winning streak is just a few games away, keep your thoughts and picks coming bud.

Adelaide Lightning @ Melbourne Boomers: Over 144.5
These 2 teams are out of the running now for the post-season. Can't see much defense being played in this game at all. Adelaide allow a massive 83.5 points on the road and with the Boomers struggling offensively, I think this is the perfect game for them to get right back into some kind of offensive groove. Adelaide have been scoring well of late. Hitting 70 or more 3 times in their last 5 starts. Melbourne on the other hand haven't hit 70 in their last 4 games which makes me wonder why this total is set at 144.5. I think we see a nice open game tonight with these 2 teams having nothing to play for.

Now, this is a very risky play so if your going to tail be aware that this could turn sour quickly but I am hoping it doesnt.
Reasons for taking Canberra.
1. They got their very first win of the season the other night against Perth. All 5 starters played some big mins but have had some rest and now headed up to play SEQ.
2. Double revenge. Stars have blown out Canberra the last 2 games this season.
3. STALLWORTH - She was released by the SEQ Stars this season and this is her very first match-up against them as BA didn't allow her to play in their January game but this has now been dropped and she will suit up for this game.
4. Momentum - I think after Friday's win against Perth, Canberra can actually put in a solid effort today vs the Stars. The Stars have everything to play for as Adelaide just beat Bendigo so that gives SEQ Stars massive motivation to win this game but 17 points for me is just to much for SEQ to cover when the Capitals have Renee Montgomery (WNBA Player), Abby Bishop (Last years MVP), Stallworth (American Import) along with Talbot and Wilson. Think this game will be something around 87-75 SEQ Stars so will take the points.

This line is -9.5 at some other books but taking -8.5. Joey Wright mentioned after the other nights lost to the Hawks his troops were down on confidence and they felt horrible about themselves. Petrie and Gibson are apparently going to rest this game or play very low mins. Perth are going with a full roster apart from Knight who might be out come the post-season as well with that shoulder injury. Expect Perth to put on a big performance tonight in front of a sellout crowd apparently. Perth's home win record is 11-2 S/U this season with a winning margin of +12.5. Adelaide are 4-9 S/U on the road and have a losing margin of -4.5 points. When you think of it, I think of it like this. The other night, myself and Freddie feel for the 36ers trap as they opened at +7.5 dogs and even wend down to +6.5 dogs. The Hawks at home were 10-3 S/U before that game and their winning margin at home was +11.5 as well so this line of +8.5 is spot on but with Adelaide resting men and having not much motivation, I think Perth can put on a show tonight.

Like the angle buddy, grabbed +15.5 two mins in...
Good stuff Erich..
Remember this name mate. Jordan Hooper. She has so much talent. She plays for Tulsa Shock (now Dallas Wings) so watch out for her this WNBA season. She is going crazy in this game right now for SEW Stars. Tulsa/Dallas is always my team buddy. With Oddysey Sims and the beautiful Skylar Diggins, they are a force this upcoming season.

Will do mate, really good call on Caps, thanks. The faves don't seem to be doing great of Kanye in Nbl, so may wait for a live bet with lower line. Took NZ earlier today after a few mins +5.5.
Seems to be a lot to lay with Perth given your earlier post that the match doesn't matter. That's just a birds-eye view angle, as I know dick about this league.

You got a good line there Dave. -6.5 is a steal IMHO buddy. Hopefully they blowout the unmotivated 36ers tonight.
anyone know whats going on with Perth? Did Adelaide sit anyone? Was going for the over originally but changed it to Perth after reading this thread but cant see the match.

Josh Childress could head to the D-League after his season is up in Australia.
He hasn't played in the NBA since 2013-14 and it's been downhill since he signed a five-year deal back in 2010. Childress is still playing pro ball, so the 32-year-old forward may get a 10-day late this season.
WOW thats big news Coach. Not surprising though because I think the Kings may want to get rid of him because he is so injury prone and they may look to get a healthier import for next season.
