A good night of cards on the WNBL tonight. First up is the Adelaide Lightning v Bendigo Spirit.
My betting ideas and reason why.
Adelaide have been big improvers this year. At times they looked really good but have shown a lot of times as well that they are not in the same class as Lynx and Fire.
At home tonight in a must win game playing a team who just want the year over. The Spirit have been the big club in Victoria for the last few years but have lost that mantle truely to the Rangers and Boomers.
The Lighting and the Spirit have played twice this season. One game going OT. That game was at Lighting which they end up winning and not long later they meet in a return leg that Lighting had a good 13 point away win.
Both teams have only won 1 game in their last 5.
Lighting thoe in their last 5 had a lost in overtime to a quality team in Sydney. A 2pt lose and a 1pt lose. So their finishing off close game is a worry.
Spirit has had a good solo win in their last 5 over Rangers. But had 3 games where they have lost by 30 or more. That a team that lost confidence and just wanting the season over.
I taking the Lighting tonight -13.5. This game is not only a must win but a confidence booster. They are at home and the big start I don’t mind. This is a chance for them to get into that finishing teams off mode that they lacked in recent games. The Spirit will try and if it close they may get stubborn. I only give them less than 10% of winning the game. I think they get wooden spoon so they not really playing to avoid that. Good luck.
My bet Adelaide Lighting -13.5
Good Punting Good Luck
