I figure it has something to do with it being his first game off the DL. Bias aside, I think he pitches well enough to win (if not better).

The exact thing happened yesterday with Dodgers/ Seattle and SD/Texas and you know the outcomes of those games.........But both of those were HUGE public plays though.

I was on both of those moves....If it keeps dropping I will have to take a shot. Dont like fading Halladay even if he is coming off of the DL.

No you dont want it to be Shields....Better check out those Road splits.....You would not be getting much + money with Garza..

shit I got the A's at +120 and now down to +101  when the world is on a dog this hard it usually goes down  might have to try some scalp action

I've been on Nieve lately, but feel like the books are catching up.  That, and NY couldn't even score on Wanger yesterday.

Niemann's numbers all trending backwards...ERA, WHIP, K's.  Just not enough confidence in him to take that juicy number...Halladay can still go 7 easy. 

Looking at Chicago.  Pavano is a turd and Floyd has been solid lately.  person bats scare me, though.

If I get an OVER umpire I'm very interested in fading him that way. The Jays score a shit-ton for Doc, too.

No play on Boston/Balty.  Not a big Berken fan, had this been Bergesen, Urethra, or Guthrie I might have taken my chances

Rookie pitchers have had 5 QS against the Sox this year in 12 tries. Could have been 6 or 7 quite easily w/o an unearned run and with .2 IP more

i don't know how, but it's the same for every TB pitcher.

Sonnanstine: 8.22 ERA on the road YTD, 4.54 ERA at home
Garza: 4.29 ERA on the road YTD, 3.21 at home
Shields: 3.72 ERA on the road YTD, 3.18 (not as bad as usual with his career gap at +1.43 on the road)

Cubs/ Pirates game is tricky. I could make a case for both sides there. The smart play would probably be the Rats though as they have been playing good ball. But Harden could easily shut the Rats down if he is on. But he has not been on lately.

I'm on KC tonight.......Hochevar has started to pull it together and pitch much better. I actually think this is a decent spot for KC.....of course they still have to hit the ball, catch fly balls and field grounders

Considering their entire starting staff is/was on the DL, I can't see the Jays starting their ace unless they're DAMN SURE he's okay. I think Roy picks up where he left off.

    Tonight's scouting report

  • Porcello: The right-hander is 7-1 in his last 10 starts with a 2.48 ERA. He's the early favorite for American League Rookie of the Year and has a shot to make the All-Star team with a couple more good starts. He's turning out to be a big-time major league starter for the Tigers.
  • Anderson: The No. 3 prospect for the A's coming into the season, Anderson, 21, is a left-hander that pounds the strike zone. He been roughed up as of late, allowing 14 runs in his last three starts, and is 0-2 over that stretch.

Marlins got the -167 on it last night.  500 wins what was it, 300 or no 299.40 is it I believe.  Lotta juice, but Nolasco is my horse, from last year, and I've been riding him since the call up, ignore his early results.
 
The Nats are 3-17 last 20 games vs. Fla, and 13-44 last 57 road games overall, OUCH!!!!!!!!!  Olsen's rehab starts were awful as well.  -167 is a steal.
 
That's it for me.  Laying off the Rays, I don't have the sack to bet against Halladay, I want to keep riding em, just can't.  Maybe tomorrow.
