Actually I had a pretty good run in betting parlays recently, turned $200 into $2K+, then $4K, then back to a little over 2K. Missed out on some big parlays by very little, paying out HUGE. So I figured it was time to do or die and shove the rest of my balance in.
First I go on and make a 3-team parlay for $850 (Philly Un7, LA Un6, Sea Un6). That's right, who has the BALLS to put two Under 6's in one big parlay? Then I figure I can't just sweat out 11.5 hours of baseball only to lose by one game/run. So I decide to shove all but $300 of my balance on Philly Under, just so I can salvage a little profit in the first 3 hours of my marathon in case I lose any of the 6's. And to at least not having to deposit again if I lose the first game.
The remaining $300 I was going to make a parlay that included 5 of the other 7 predictions, including Detroit on the Over. But I thought fuck it. I was glad I didn't for a while until that game came out with a miracle 7-run 8th inning to cover. All other 4-games came through easy.
Should have had $7K more than what I have now.
Did not break a sweat in any of the three games. It was as easy as it gets...
Philly started off with a 2-0 lead in the 1st, a score that I usually prefer over most non-scoreless scores early in the game. Oakland scores 1 in the 3rd to make me sweat a little but batters were just dropping like flies. Next update: 3-1 Philly in the 6th with Halladay cruisin'.
The other two game started off with 4 scoreless innings and no inning produced more than 1 run at a time. The only fear was potential infinite-overtime, and even that I knew I was way ahead mathematically.
What a great feeling to be on vacation in a park, pitching and batting by the lake with friends, playing soccer and frisby, doing a bbq while seeing money being printed for you through your iPhone.
I know I always come in here to rant and whine about my bad luck. But here's a brag post for a day that more than made up for my season and possibly locked in a profitable season. Probably jinxed myself too, but then I don't believe in jinxing.
