I know that I have not posted often on here, but I certainly have been a long time lurker.
I just wanted to make you all aware of an experience I had with 5dimes over the weekend.
I will preface this by telling you that I have been a regular customer of 5dimes since August 2013, having made numerous withdrawals and deposits over the past 16 months. I have never had any type of problem in any of the various payment methods used, whether it was the use of Western Union, MoneyGram, Vanilla Reload, MoneyPak, or certified check. At the present, I am almost dead even in terms of wins\losses, but I have been ahead by $5000, and down by as much as $7000.
So, I will explain my problem and, if you cannot offer me any advice, please heed this as warning to anyone using MoneyPak, or, moreover, using 5dimes as your primary book.
On Friday (11/14) I purchased a single MoneyPak for $1000.00 and 5dimes quickly credited my account within 30 minutes of accepting the MoneyPak code.
Later that evening, I placed a bet using the entire $1000.00, and ended up winning my NBA bet, which added $975.00 to my account.
The following day , Saturday (11/15), I used the $1975.00 in my account to make multiple wagers, on college football games, and ended the day at near break even amount, as I retired for the night with an account balance of $1891.00.
This morning, however, is where my problem began.
As I was ready to place my wager for the NFL games, I logged into my 5dimes account and thought that I was not seeing my screen properly, as my balance was reduced to $886.00, or $1005.00 less than I had the prior night.
I immediately called 5dimes and after being put on hold and dealing with two different 'departments', I was told that the MoneyPak card deposit was revoked that morning (36 hours AFTER the deposit, mind you) because the ePay department claimed that "we attempted to use the card this morning, but we determined that the card had no value because the money has already been spent by someone other than us". Furthermore, " your MoneyPak and Vanilla Reload privileges have been permanently revoked, because we consider this a form of cheating; there is nothing else that we can do for you!"
Well, this is quite interesting, don't you think, as I verified that this card that had a beginning balance of $1000.00 now has a zero balance and 5 dimes was the ONLY entity that received the code on the MoneyPak card; furthermore, above all else, I find it intriguing that 5dimes left my 'winnings' of $886.00 in my account to use for additional wagers.
If 5dimes determined that the $1000.00 was never valid, why would they decide to leave the 'winnings' in my account?
The simple answer is that 5dimes decided to RIP ME OFF for $1000.00 and, in addition, limited my deposit options-- which doesn't matter at this point, because I will never use them again as a book.
The interesting correlation is that in the past 6 weeks, I have nearly won back my deficit of $7000.00. To 5dimes, I didn't think $7000.00 would even be a bleep on their radar, but, apparently it appears otherwise!
Again, any feedback would be appreciated, but, if not, just take this as a lesson as to the unscrupulous business practices of 5dimes!
