 Why is there a shortage? I'm unfamiliar with the subject? Is it Similac? Infamil? Both?

The Atlantic reports 3 reasons for the shortage in baby formula.  Products recall due to bacteria contamination at major supplier.  Pandemic disruption of supply.  US regulations and trade policy that limit supply.

Fortunately, Biden administration is now working with retailers and manufacturers on plans to accelerate domestic production, fight high prices and increase foreign imports of baby formula.

 No he’s not. He just shipped $40B to Ukraine to help feed their people and protect their boarders. I have a 4 month old and have been dealing with formula shortages since Feb. Biden said he just found out about this last week. The guy is losing it mentally.

 If you have a 4 mo old, and a huge part of the shortage was a factory shutdown due to possible contamination, are you saying you would rather they didn't shutdown the factory, and stock your local stores with possibly contaminated formula?

 Not saying that at all. It was shutdown months ago. Why are they just now recognizing this?  We ship formula from the US to countries like Ireland and the UK. Biden reacts. He never anticipates anything. I’m glad they shut it down, it killed 2 infants. But again, months ago. They should have known this was coming. We just paid $350 for 4 cans of the formula our baby can eat. Fortunately we can afford it but a lot of people can’t. 

Your baby's formula was shipped to Ukraine on LARGE PALLETS...MANY LARGE PALLETS.  Their babies gotta eat, too, ya know.

Just like putin sending troops along the Ukraine borders ,mash units months prior to the invasion...then act surprised when it happens.  Obviously this man and his band of gender ,racial, check off identity political pronouns does not care for the people that "elected " him.  Cares more for his pockets then his constituents.

All the supermarkets here in WNY have an abundance of formula ..Local news is making up BS that the shelves are empty, even going as far as showing old footage from the beginning of covid .

As a parent , I can't imagine if there was no formula and my kids were still in that faze ...Sorry it that's what you're dealing wirh down there!!

 I don’t think he’s responsible for the shortage at all but he’s 100% responsible for fixing it. This shortage started in February. It’s halfway through may. As the president of the US it falls on him to fix it. He’s more concerned about Ukraine than he is the US. What’s crazy is that there are pallets of formula at the southern border to give to the immigrants coming into the US. It’s crazy. 

Is the formula you need on Amazon?? I see a ton of different ones available there ..If not I'd highly recommend contacting Wegmans supermarkets in NY , They're rated one of the top markets in the country ( rarely running out of anything) , amazing customer service ..

This issue is like it is ok to BWS!  This is an orchestrated and planned elimination of food for helpless and defenseless infants born inside the borders of the United States. While parents of the victims cry for help the tyrannical FDA under joe biden refuses to allow Abbott to produce baby formula. This is both tragic and criminal in my most honest and humble opinion. As the stomachs of our precious infants growl with hunger. Mommy/Daddy! Please find some baby formula for me! I want to see my 1st birthday! I don't want to die this young! Please feed me! Please!
