I went to college with guys from Chicago.  Northside.  Milwaukee and Nagel.  They do have a certain accent.

 

My daughter married a guy from Arlington Hts. No accent.  His best man that he grew up with was raised in Arlington Hts. too.  He was speaking like he grew up in Chicago.  He was copping a wise guy accent.  I asked why he talked like that.  He grew up in a lily white suburb.
