CD Newsletter Week 10

Last week was humbling to say the least . If you were a dog player you loved it but it seemed the wrong dogs won . It was also " the fix " posters dream as far as threads go . That being said we are halfway through the season now and we can try to get some non over reacting or under reacting thoughts based on last weeks results . I havnt looked at the mains but Im sure we should see some posts about how the Bills and Boys are pissed off and they will destroy this week ....solid handicapping 

Shrimp / Fish  +7.5  -108

Havnt checked on Tua but believe he is out , not that it really matters . Not sure the Fish can keep up in this one but Shrimp coming off OT and now playing in the hot covid sun . Books put out the hook also . Obviously Hugh wants Fish ML 

Getty / Colts  -10.5  +103

Getty coming off a super bowl win against the mafia last week , doubt they can keep that momentum and the Colts need to keep winning . Could be a blowout 

BWS / Pats  -1  +101

If the Browns didnt play lights out last week this line should be -3 minimum IMO. Huge discount for the Belichecks who are playing really good team ball . Mac Jones has impressed . 

Falcons / Boys  -10  +109

Boys made the Broncs look fabulous last week . Embarrassing especially off their bye . As stated above " Dallas should be pissed " Gonna have to see where this line settles 

Bills / Jets  +13  -104

Not sure if the Bills decided to take last week off or the Gettys played great . I didnt see much of this game and highlights dont always give it justice . Division game that always used to be close . You never know which Jet team shows up 

Saints / Titans  -3  -102

Titans playing out of their minds  . Line seems short ...books giving Saints a ton of respect  IMO . Im sure the Titans -150 ish ML will be attached to many pars this week 

Bucs / WFT  +10  -114

Not sure what to expect here TB off a lose with rest should be able to name the number but we will see 

Vikes / Bolts  -2.5  -108

You would be better off to play the Vikes 1H as Zimmer cant close out a free lunch . ( Not sure what the stats are on that )

Panthers / Cards  -10  +101

Colt McCoy looked like Joe Montana last week . Darnold looks like he should be in the XFL , maybe . Not sure of the IR report on the Cards but cant see this being close 

Eagles / Broncos  -2.5  -121

These two teams I value the same , I never know which one shows up week to week . 

Chiefs / Raiders  +2.5  +101

Even after last weeks results I dont think the Raiders should be dogs here , books giving too much respect to the Chiefs as always 

Rams / 49ers  +4  -109

Both teams were dumpster fires . I would expect Stafford who laid an egg to rebound in this one 

Tough week to cap for me after last week . Add thoughts as you see fit 

Having this line dangling short of a FG is the line-makers way of begging for LAC action.

Vikes, fresh off a game in which they should have won against a very overrated team, seem to have a knack of losing close games. I sense that ends this week

 Insane stat for the Ravens on Sunday..Held the Vikes to 0 First downs

for a 40 min. window last Sunday....Unheard of ..

This line is down to 8.5 at one of my outs, 9 at the other two.

I played the Cowboys at 7.5  -114 

Here's a crazy one. Over the past 4 games the Eagles pass defense is allowing an 83% completion rate to opposing QBs. That number is 75% for the entire season. To put that into context, the league leader in comp % is Kyler Murray at 72%. Denver QB Bridgewater is second at 70% and he's on deck for the Eagles. 

Random WOW stat for today : Since 2015 teams with a halftime lead of 8 or more have won the game outright 90% of the time. The Patriots are a perfect 43-0 in these situations. The only team under 70% are the Chargers. 

Despite having a run centric offense, the Vikings have only 3 rushing TDs all year. That's #32 of 32.

Colts defense has forced 10 fumbles and recovered all of them. They also have 10 INTs. Jags are in trouble.

The Texans have been held to single digits scoring in 5 of 9 games. Thank God they have the bye week next where they're a 3 point underdog.

OK, all smack talk aside, the EAPs should annihilate Fish...BOY.

The Falcons beat the Saints with 34 rush yards averaging 1.4 ypc.

Saints 109 for 4.4 ypc.

Falcons 366 yards, Saints 376 yards.

Falcons 18 first downs, Saints 26.

Falcons 27:39 top, Saints 32:21

Falcons 6 penalties, no turnovers. Saints 10 penalties, 1 turnover. 

^that's how dogs win in this league. 

Crazy that the Falcons averged 10.4 yards per pass and Ryan was 23/30 without a run game whatsoever. What is going on with the Saints pass defense?

Something I posted in the week 9 thread. Considering how bad the Broncos shredded the Cowboys on the ground, could the Falcons find a ground game this Sunday?
