Bravo, tw. Thanks for stepping up!
Just some cursory thoughts on the Chargers vs. Chiefs. The last time the Chargers played the Chiefs was back in late September. In that game, the Chargers played without the following:
Rashawn Slater (LT)
Joe Alt (RT)
Joey Bosa (Edge)
Derwin James (1 game suspension)
And Justin Herbert was playing with a high ankle sprain.
How the Chargers only lost 17-10 is beyond me. Minter's defense was good enough to keep the Chargers in the game.
Derwin James is a great Kelce neutralizer and he was conveniently suspended for that game on a questionable helmet-to-helmet hit. (The same kind of hit on Ladd McConkey by Dee Alford that wasn't called by the refs.)
Anyway, what's my point? The Chargers always play the Chiefs tough. The Chargers lost by a touchdown without their bookend tackles, their best chess piece on defense, and a potent edge rusher. Taking the points wouldn't be questionable at all. As a Charger fan, I'm glad to have Bosa and Mack healthy, and Derwin back for this. We'll miss Alohi Gilman (FS) and maybe Denzel Perryman (LBer, and best run defender), but he hasn't been ruled out for this game. I'm hoping, if anything, he was rested purposely for this game.
This week the Chargers will be playing the Chiefs without JK Dobbins and a run game that's duller than a butter knife. They also may be without their only weapon on offense, Ladd McConkey. He's nursing a shoulder and knee injury. My quess is that he'll be questionable all week, go easy in practice or not practice at all, and be active on game day. But it's something to monitor. And when in the hell will DJ Chark see some action? He's the Chargers lone vertical threat. He was signed in the off-season to give Herbert that, then got injured right before the season started, placed on IR, was activated a few weeks back and hasn't seen playing time since.
I like the under in this game but sometimes the Chargers offense shows up when you least expect it. I think the Chargers D will give Mahomes a rough time, and he may have to use his legs a little more in this game.

@iConsciousness
I have all ready bought lightning bolt boxers. And that's all I'm wearing when watching the game.
That's fucking confidence, that's how you win bets.

So the Ravens thought they would go into rehab business and sign Diontae Johnson from the Panthers for a bushel of crabs. Mr Johnson was asked to take the field after Bateman was injured in the first half and is like nah i'm good. My guess is the Ravens are willing to pay for his bus ticket. smh

There's only been 7 times that a qb has had 30+ pass td's with 5 or fewer interceptions through 12 games. Let's look at their team record at that point.
2007 Tom Brady 12-0
2011 Aaron Rodgers 12-0
2014 Aaron Rodgers 9-3
2018 Drew Brees 10-2
2020 Patrick Mahomes 11-1
2020 Aaron Rodgers 9-3
2024 Joe Burrow 4-8

Of particular interest to @Unundermysac. I came across this tweet today:

I'm not sure who that guy is, but he seems to be a local media guy for that market, and has a large following on X. So, this may have to be taken with a grain of salt. Anyway, not sure what your opinion of Kevin Warren is, but this may have been a move (or non-move) that'll haunt him. It's not like Harbaugh would've for sure taken the gig, but I know that he probably liked playing with that draft capital. He also probably would've wanted to bring in his own GM, and Warren may have rather had Poles keep his job secure with the team.

Perception - KC is an over squad. If you do a deep dive, it's the exact opposite. Chargers fall into this cat also.
Under or no play. Now I'm mulling on a play. Thanks mates.

One thing that I can say about Kevin Warren and Ryan Poles is that they don't have patience for people not doing there jobs. They have been quick to fire incompetent coaches, and getting rid of shitty players. In that department they're good.
But this misses they've had in hirings is questionable to say the least.

So quiet on a Thursday with a crucial nfc north game to be played tonight.
I can't bet against Detroit, nor will I back em with 75% of their front 7 injured.
Gut says that Dan Campbell gets another dub anyway.

RJ Bell makes the Chargers his 5 weight play for the week. Compelling argument for em.
I made my bed with the Bolts before any podcast picks came out.
