is it the constant years of pain we've endured as to why I still can't get excited about what we are watching in Dallas? I know what my eyes tell me, and the clapper and his " all 3 phases " is gone but I'm still approaching this season with extreme caution
last night was huge though. winning is contagious

Well said. It's just the non stop underachieving of 20+ years that gives you pause. But if the Jaguars could get to the AFC Championship game in 2017, anything is possible.
Speaking of Jax, they're a 14.5 home underdog to Buffalo. Oh my

The offense has no weakness, they are simply dominant with Dak on the field.
Parsons is a confident beast, and he put on a show last night. His presence has made a huge difference.
Diggs is a big play waiting to happen. This team has not had a play-maker on D in many years.
Anthony Brown, since that disaster in week 1, has played as well as any defender on the team.
D-Line is still missing 2 starters and 2 key rotational guys (that's a total of 17 starters using bigred's math)
Secondary has some young play-makers getting ready to contribute after missing time to injuries.
Both the OC and DC have been exceptional in calling plays.
I don't feel they need to make any moves at the trade deadline. If they stay healthy they are as good as anyone. Of course 'staying healthy' and 'Cowboys' rarely go hand in hand

To me this is different.
Dak is a winner, and the team follows his lead.

So... home game loss in Divisional Playoff game?

It's hard to find any gripe about this Cowboys team currently, but I do have one. When are the Cowboys going to admit to themselves that Tony Pollard is a better RB than Zeke?

im not quite ready to pass that torch yet, but from what I've seen I'm very impressed with Pollard. They are as good a duo as Chubb Hunt in Cleveland. And, much like Cle, and really the rest of the league, you need a 2 headed monster. The days of Gurley 3 years ago ( and I guess Henry and we saw what happened to him ) are over and really need 2 to have a great run game.

you're right, can't be too picky right now and like everyone here in Dallas we had our doubts about Zeke as a true number 1 going into this season but I must say he's impressed me so far as still being capable. The last few years he would go down on initial contact but he slimmed down and looks a tad more explosive so he's somewhat living up to his contract so far but have a feeling he will show his wear and tear real soon. Hopefully we get a title before that happens and I hope its this year

The running backs are still dependent on a lot of other factors. First and foremost is the quality of the offensive line, and to lesser extents the run blocking scheme, the play calling, and a passing game which an opponent must respect.
For tonite, I'll follow the trend of MNF totals and play over 52. Pretty damn big number considering it's the Giants, but their only lined total of 50+ this year went over. Small action bet for me. I think Mahomes is going to play really well.

On that play where Rush was sacked and fumbled ... that was Pollard's man. Picking up the blitz is the weakness in his game, and the reason you see Zeke late in games when they have to complete some passes.
Pollard is a better pure runner right now than Zeke, but Zeke does some other things that Pollard doesn't.
I would like to see a 50-50 split in carries going forward

Also TNF Indy/Jets under 46.5. Mike White threw for over 400 yards despite averaging less than 5 yards per pass in air yards. That's almost unfathomable. Saleh is a defensive coach. For Indy, no way Wentz gets a green light to throw with his left hand again. Perfect set up for a game which neither side evens sniffs 30 points.

No doubt in my mind this is 43.5 or 44.5 by game time setting up a decent middle if you wanna hit it now
