Rumor has it that the Patriots OC will be Josh McDaniel. And DC Robert Saleh. Here's an organization that knows what it's doing.
Watch out afc east...
My bold prediction is that Joe Milton will start at QB. If you watch him you'll see he has a cannon like Randall Cunningham. He can scramble and run. He fell in the draft because of an injury.
This will be a fun team to cover in the off season.

The Bears don’t want any kind of alpha males in charge of their personal piggy bank. George McCaskey is the only alpha male with the Bears The Bears make 100’s of millions each year. The fans come every year. They sell millions of nfl merchandise a year. It’s a very profitable business! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Lovie Smith and Mike Ditka?

At 24.5%, the Packers have the best DVOA in the short history of seventh seeds, and would be the second best of all time if we included theoretical seventh seeds stretching all the way back to 1978.

@iConsciousness Mike Ditka wasn't really that great of a coach. Sure he got the accolades for winning a SB. But ask anyone on or around that team, it was Buddy Ryan's team for the most part. Without him or Walter Payton, they go nowhere. Ditka gave up the entire draft for Ricky Williams with the Saints. Not the brightest guy. Lovie was a good coach. Firing him for a 10-6 season was stupid. But not as stupid as the Chargers firing Marty for going 14-2
I was addressing the following comment when bringing up those two:
"The Bears don’t want any kind of alpha males in charge of their personal piggy bank. George McCaskey is the only alpha male with the Bears."
I can't discuss the machinations behind the scenes with those two (although I definitely can about Marty; more on that in a bit), but they at least came across as "alpha" to me in their mannerisms. Were they not?
As far as Marty getting canned, he asked for it. He let BOTH of his coordinators (Cam Cameron & Wade Phillips) go for HC jobs. I get that you typically let your coordinators go for promotions, but it was (from what I understand) unprecedented to have both main coordinators leave, and he also let 3 other assistant goes.
Now, that isn't even the main issue. He was specifically told that he could not hire family to fill in those positions, and despite that tried to hire his brother anyway. To better illustrate here's an excerpt from an article on it:
"Marty orchestrated his own firing when he tried to hire his brother Kurt as the Chargers' defensive coordinator—even though he knew it went against team CEO Dean Spanos' philosophy. Spanos, not Smith, gave Marty the boot. Marty forced Spanos' hand, then took his $4 million and ran off to North Carolina to play golf."
After another failed playoff game (record in the playoffs was 5-13), the *rumor* was that Marty was fine being fired because he was over coaching. (He never did interview another positions afterwards.) He had an acrimonious relationship with the GM (AJ Smith) and it wasn't working in his favor.
My own personal theory is that given the acrimonious relationship with the GM, his disregard for the ownership's philosophy (and warning) about hiring family, the front office felt that the team was built for success with any other HC. And they were right to a certain extent. Norv Turner (the "QB whisperer") was hired and he had success with the same team early on.
Anyway, not sure to what extent this was public knowledge for people who don't follow the Chargers, but wanted to provide that perspective. I liked Marty than Norv, but I understood the firing, as much as it stunk. Marty was a hard-headed bastard.

@Biscuiteater1 There was some rust in the first half for sure. Although my opinion of him was never too high. I don't think he's a qb that will come through in the clutch in big games. Shit this one isn't over yet, pressure is mounting. We'll see
Oh me neither, but i've always considered him a lunch pail type who can get the job done thru determination. This place will have some more inmates should Philly find a way to lose. lol
