I have gained a whole lot of respect for that team and especially Drew Brees and the Sean Payton. You guys definitely deserved it and this is a great story for the city of New Orleans.
I chirped and started a whole lot of threads during the season. You guys can talk shit all you want because I can't really say anything to defend myself. Peyton throwing the pick 6 was the worst possible thing that could of happened in the game. Although his recievers didn't really help him a lot this game with some drop catches. But I'm not here to make excuses, so go ahead it's your turn to get the shots in.
Once again. Congrats Saints!

there's always next year to catch brady's ring total, so keep trying.

I deserve it. I don't remember being a dick to you unless you had a different avatar before. Peyton sadly hurt his reputation really really badly about being a choker after he got rid of it when he won the SB 3 years ago. Obviously it wasn't just his fault but that pick sealed the deal. I'm not to worried about Brady because I don't see the pats doing anything next year or years to come unless they make some moves in the off season.
A lot of people just base rings into how great a QB is, that's not fair because if you don't have the team around you, it doesnt matter how good of a QB you are, you just arn't going to win. QBS like Terry Bradshaw and Troy Aikman are perfect examples of this. Bradshaw is very avg but he had the greatest defense of all time and Aikman wouldn't of done with without one of the greatest all around teams. Football is on the level of Baseball and Soccer, where 1 player can not do it himself, it's almost impossible. In Basketball you see Lebron (although he hasn't won a ring yet is still very young) carrying his team to where it is basically by himself. Not trying to make excuses but those are facts.
Peyton did choke big time today and It is very hard for me to say that, trust me. It hurts even more because he cameback so many times during the season and in the 2 playoff games and yet it will all be overshadowed because of the INT in the SB. It's not fair but it's the way it is.
Peyton will have to have a big season next year and win the SB for people to forget this. This Colts season just proved that resting or not resting does not make any difference. The Colts rest their players and lose in the SB, the Pats decide to go for perfection and lose in the SB. Why would you rest your players when the team is playing so well? Go for it, have some balls! How many times are you going to have the chance to go undefeated and be known as the greatest team of all time? I hate the Patriots but I respect Belicheat for going for 19-0 and 4th and 2 against the Colts, just like I respect Payton for going for it on 4th down and attempting the on side kick because that onside kicked probably won them the SB.
I hope Peyton goes out on a vengence next year and they go undefeated and win the SB and this last loss in the SB is erased but I know that is highly unrealistic. I really feel bad for him because he is such a great QB and people just don't realize nor repsect him enough to see what he does at his job. Although the greatness hasn't translated into SB victories, he still has enough time to get a couple of more rings but the Colts need Bob Sanders back badly and possibly sign or trade for a CB. That's why it baffles me why people hate on Peyton, because he really doesn't do anything wrong for him to be hated, but I can see why people hate on him because of people like me who talk a lot of shit when he is doing well. I can understand hating on Rivers or Brady (like I do) because of their cockyness and lack of sportsmanship and Peyton doesn't do any of that garbage. That doesn't take away from the fact that I have respect for Brady or Rivers because they're great QB's nonetheless. Remember, John Elway lost in 3 SB's before he won his first.
Thank you for letting me vent, it has been a hard day for me as you may see.

But that one throw isn't going to define Peyton Manning. He's past the point
in his career where he needs to prove anything. To me, once a guy gets over that
hump and proves he can nail down a big game, then it's never a question again.
Peyton Manning isn't a guy who needs to create a legacy. This is a guy who
already has one, and can only add to it.
And besides, I'm not even sure if the interception was his fault. ESPN
analyst Steve Young just finished explaining why the interception falls on the
shoulders of Reggie Wayne(notes) more than it does on Manning. It's Wayne's job to cut
underneath the defender and shield him from that football. You won't hear
Manning blame anyone but himself, but Young -- who knows a thing or two about
shedding a "can't win the big game" reputation -- will give the more
honest assessment.
There are plenty of other Colts who can take their share of the blame, too. The defense, which allowed Drew Brees(notes) to pick it apart. The special teams unit, particularly Hank Baskett(notes), who couldn't come up with that football. The receivers who dropped perfect Manning passes.
It wasn't his best game, but it's not like Manning went out there and played
like he was blindfolded, either. He still went 31-of-45 for 333 yards and a
touchdown with the interception. There were some brilliant throws in there, too,
like the touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon(notes) and the one he dropped into Dallas
Clark's(notes) breadbasket in heavy traffic.
It's one game. Manning's career is, and will continue to be, above any one
throw, even if it did come in the biggest possible game.

Yea, I just hope Peyton comes out next year on a vengeance and shows the world why he is the best at what he does. I also hope that Bill Polian can make some moves and bring in some guys that are not fucking injury prone. Anthony Gonzalez, Bob Sanders, and Marlin Jackson will all be back next year but I would love to see the Colts get Terrell Owens although its highly highly unlikely because they dislike those type of players.

Hey Serb go check out the parade on ESPN news, oh btw fuck Manning you rode his nuts all season long. He is a choker, his brother might have more Super bowl wins, in the long run.
