How was I setting him up Grey? I was getting nothing out of it. But, yes, I agree, Roused was setting me up from the very beginning. And the fact that he was trying to borrow money from someone other than me on Covers proves he dead broke and I got conned.
I was just joking man. I have no clue what happened here.

Your'e a very smart person Grayhound, and I mean it. And in the humorous way you opted it - it might very well be the story. One thing is for sure - we did not get to the bottom of real motives on both sides.
Please let me know what my motives were...I became friendly with this guy...I helped him...asked for nothing in return other than for him to pay me back....he even confirmed it on several occasions that he would repay me....and even signed a promissory note....he hasn't paid a penny....

One thing I can tell you guys: I don't know if its because of living in Wisconsin ("seventies") or just because he was born like that, Gamehunter is the guy with most sense of humor I ever met in Covers. Me and my family members are still holding our stomachs while laughing at his reply as how Gamehunter is gonna do Roused and the bookie...

I don't know, a good Samaritan motives? You tell me man, what were you thinking? Either you are a classic victim or... forget it man. I will never understand that if you did not follow that betrayal by Roused in Soprano style. Like in a first episode of the season 1.

Not disagreeing with your points Depeche and I have already told him he is leaving me with no choices but to sue him and file a complaint against his license, which I am already in the process of doing. He doesn't seem to care so outing him here, which I know will bother him, probably won't get him to do anything although he;ll hate it. I lent him small amounts of money ($100 or less every time) but was able to get a signed promissory note for the first $3000 and detailed emails how he would repay me the whole amount, which in my mind was actually the only good move I made.
wow....you are an absolute idiot....you met up with him 30 times and gave him money without him paying back a single dollar. how stupid are u seriously, you just got taken hard

sorry GH there is nothing you can say in any email that would convince anybody here why in the hell you would loan money to a complete stranger you met on a gambling messageboard. Sorry but you dont loan gamblers money. that should be rule number one in anybodys book. Also being a lawyer i would think you would know better because tons of bankruptcies are caused by gambling. I sure hope you dont use this for running any ads. I could just see it now
" For all your lawyer needs come to GH law offices home of the lawyer that got conned by a gambler on a gambling messageboard"
That would for sure be bad for business.
Was this some sort of lover thing, because i cant envision myself ever loaning money out to any gamblers on this site.
