 I really do think you have reading comprehension issues.  I clearly outlined the subjective nature of my comment and my definition of the use of the term.

I "replied" to him because I am highlighting his comment.  You know, the really intelligent analogy that uses the death of 6mm Jewish individuals to compare the potential prosecution of some scum bag politicians.  Ya know, that one.  

This is representative of the gaslighting the left employs. When they are wrong, they tell you it's actually you that is wrong. You just don't realize it. When you offer proof bolstering your opinion, they discount said proof without offerering any countering evidence of their own. They will literally tell you what your own opinions are. Your own feelings. If you say you don't find Kamala Harris fit for office, they'll tell you you're actually racist and/or sexist. If you say you prefer Trump over the Democratic nominee, they'll say that you're "in a cult" and probably stormed the Capitol. Correct their misuse of a phrase and they'll tell you you simply are unfamiliar with their use, even though their use of said phrase literally doesn't exist anywhere in recorded history. And I didn't even check. I didn't "Google" it. I wouldn't waste my time. I know good and well it doesn't exist. That you are simply mispronouncing au contraire, mon frère, a French phrase that has been a part of everyday English parlance for longer than I have been alive.

 How can I reply to that when you are a different person than I am? You consider calling me a bleeding heart mod to be carefully considered words and to me that is no further from the truth. You consider taking someones message and crafting a narrative as conversation. I do not share your view of what is reasonable and considerate. I do not share your view on how you have interacted with him or really ANY member who does not share your political views. I think you try to bully members as a way to try and get what you want, look at this very thread right here...you and several others have tried to bully me about two topics to get what you want rather than be considerate and try to avoid conflict.

I think midnight puts up with plenty from you AND several others that he really does not need to or deserve to because several of you use these bully strategies to intimidate and antagonize others.

I kinda think you already know this, it isnt the first time we have discussed the topic.

I would ask for you to not engage with members who are actually intentionally avoiding you especially when your replies are made to cause conflict and provoke. Your reply served no purpose for conversation with that member and you are completely taking his words out of context and exaggerating what he said/says to try and craft a narrative.

Notice that I did not say any digs in this reply regarding your lacking reading comprehension, I see no reason to personally insult your intelligence in order to try and gain an advantage in a topical discussion. 

I fully get his reference point and why he uses certain correlative examples, I think you do as well and since he is not MEMBER TO MEMBER attacking you the best thing for you is to stop interacting with him or them.

I jump into this thread and simply asked if WSC was aware of the error in his wording and his response was to call me "chirpy chirp". This same person, in this same thread, accuses others of insulting and being combative. I'm done on the subject. I'm not going to keep beating a dead horse.

Just got home from Christmas shopping. There are some beautiful people out there. Nice, real nice.

So I go out to the patio to cap tomorrow's ponies but thought let me drop by the penal colony & 20 minutes later hear I am.

To set the record straight, kc & I are good & have never been bad in my memory. He'll serve something up & I'll return the serve. When it's over we shake hands at the net. There are others here I try to avoid. 

Now everybody take a chill pill, pour your favorite adult beverage & give your honey a kiss on the neck.  They'll enjoy it & so will you.

My bro's always the voice of reason. I'm in California so i'll have to postpone that kiss but I did drop of gifts and play trains with twin two year olds. They're technically jewish but they still get to celebrate Christmas.

Do you guys realize Hanukkah starts on Christmas this year? I never remember it starting this late. We can't have anything.

Oh my God, I forgot your Bday was on Christmas. Yeah, late Thanksgiving was crazy. I went to get the tree right after. There are Christmas tree farms everywhere out there. Ended up with a Nordmann again. Beautiful trees but they don't smell. I need that smell. This thing isn't drinking much either. So it goes. One of these years I would like a blue spruce. No farms grow them around here. It's not like other places where the trees are coming from out of state. I live in a tree producing state.

How are you doing for gifts for the lady? It's hard to come up with stuff after so many years. I've hot nothing but stuff she's asked for specifically.

You're right Stu about finding something unique for our ladies after all these years. We are in a position of if we want something we go & buy it instead of waiting for Christmas. On our honeymoon in San Fran back in 89, my wife fell in love with See's chocolates & that's been a staple gift every Christmas since. Also she loves Broadway, so I got tickets to the Lion King down here in March. Loved buying clothes for her in the past but not lately. 

Believe it or not, Chinese restaurants do a brisk takeout business on Christmas. Unfortunately, there are so many who don't have family/friends to share the holidays with, so they will order takeout.

Just got home from laying wreaths at the graves of our fallen soldiers. It was pouring rain but 17 people showed up to lay 142 wreaths. The Dunkin Donut franchise owner is a big supporter of our veterans & provided coffee/donuts for the volunteers. It was a fantastic way to start the day.

Relaxing now & waiting for the Army/Navy game to start @ 3Pm. Enjoy the holidays & be safe!

They do more than take-out. It's a thing amongst many Jewish families, especially in places with large populations like New York, it's a thing to go out for Chinese food on Christmas. This year though, Hanukkah starts on Christmas. I wouldn't imagine they would keep that tradition alive, it being the first day of Hanukkah.

And yes, See's is a local staple. My mother always loved the peanut brittle. I think i'll send her a box.

Just want to call out Wall here for the expected thread blowup.  Thank goodness that covers doesn't have an HR department, maybe Lou set it up that way?
