I convinced him to see some shit he didn't need to pay the local and then get debt consolidation councelling and attend GA meetings. He actually followed through with it aLL and hasn't bet in 2 years and turned his finances around.

oh it use to happen more years ago than now, now its just a bookie using scare tactics, with all the snitches and bitches out there now, no bookie in their right mind, unless that person is down big would hurt them. no bookie wants the da breathing down their necks, they will accept payment plans or just cut their losses. the strangest thing about gamblers is that they will always be in the hole if that is their m.o. i remember when i use to collect for a local and the shit i saw was just disgusting. you could lend a guy the money to pay his local only to watch him go gamble it, and i mean facing an ass whipping.
