Bankruptcy laws also protect financially troubled businesses...So they can get things straight and start over.. e.i General Motors filed for bankruptcy when they were $172.81 billion in debt...today they are up and running at least after the strike ..one in which GM has enough money to absorb a $2 billion loss caused by the strike..
