Is the following a 'prediction' of the most watched trial/trials in human history.

Assistant Attorney General Makan Deirahim issues statement commemorating the 75th anniversary of the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg!

This just might be coming to a military installation near you!

Nike is lobbying for slavery. Not in some metaphorical sense, but actual literal slavery. I guess that social justice thing stops at the water’s edge.

Imagine actually thinking that Covid is this unprecedented threat to public health that warrants shutting down life and the economy as we know it.

The average age of death is higher than the average life expectancy

Like my states governor closing gyms even though nobody is getting covid from gyms. They're just targeting the low hanging fruit. I'm getting building a home gym for Christmas. Not some weights in the garage. I'm erecting a building.

If you are under 75. The survival rate is 99.9995% if you are not residing in a nursing home or long term facility. I gave the equation in another thread yesterday. Medical tyranny is being used by Democratic governors in states like California, Oregon, Michigan, New Mexico, NY, NJ, Washington and Oregon.

Can you imagine having Governor Newsome tell your family to put their mask on between bites of your Thanksgiving dinner!

So, only 5 people in 100,000 under 75 infected people  will die? Source of your evidence? Will Rudy be taking this to court? Gee, if I were only four months younger I could throw away my mask with terrific odds like that. Maybe we can revive my sister-in-law, she was only 67. Keep the Kool Aid supply coming, with a double shot of vodka it could be a very merry Christmas indeed.

No source key. Just using the numbers we are given.  i think that I am close! The following is a post from yesterday.

All numbers are based on a US population of 320M

I will replace  common core math with basic mathematics.

There has been an estimated 277 000 Covid deaths inside the US.

40% of those were in nursing homes and long term care facilities.

    40% of 277k is 108,000. 277,000 minus 108,000 is 169,000.

You have a Covid survivability rate of 99.9995 if you do not reside in a nursing home or long term care facility.

I am repeating myself. You are more likely to be struck by lightning on a sunny day than die from the Covid virus.

Stu  -- everyone knows my feelings on this.

I have been in gyms my whole life.  I really do believe you can get colds and flu in gyms -- simply because of the interaction with folks and equipment, etc.

So, how do we know gyms are not spreading this?  Conversely, how do we know they are?

This is no different than 'knowing' that restaurants or schools or anywhere else is spreading it.

It is completely low-hanging fruit.  It is ridiculous.  Most gyms are large enough for spacing and have sanitizer available.  I also do not like wearing a mask in a gym.  Indoor basketball we do not need masks -- but to use weights and cardio we need masks.  Then some gyms have removed the weights but left the cardio equipment for use -- every other machine.  For sure, cardio equipment you use hands also.  Sure there is sanitizer to use.  But you can use that on the weights also I guess.  A lot of folks use gloves already.

Just no rhyme or reason to some of the things and places they opt to decide are more apt to spread this.

Completely, it is reactionary politics.  peace_5

Bar owner in Los Angeles CA is livid to see that mayor Garcetti has approved an outdoor dining area for a movie company directly across from her outdoor dining area (which was shut down)

Watch this video. Democrats are clowns.

Contact tracing. Contact tracing isn't perfect so there's no way of knowing if, say, one gym member infected another randomly in passing but what we do know is there hasn't been even a small outbreak linked to a "gym". Health classes, sure. Yoga, spin, ect but gyms are different. Gone are the days of putting in work with teammates, your boys, ect. Working out has become a very solitary activity. Even prior to covid, people instinctively  give each other a wide birth in gyms. And there are rules about disinfecting equipment. It would just be very hard to pass it along in a gym. Plus the people who are in gyms are generally healthy and it has been shown, or at least hypothesized, that it is uncommon for asymptomatic carriers to be spreaders.

There are wipes available. But I don’t see any more folks using them than before. The staff does come around and do it some now.

The gyms I go to folks still work out together.  But still they are folks that work together or hang out together anyway.

Yes, I get the point of there hasn’t been shown an outbreak related to a gym.  However, gyms are spreaders of colds and flu for sure. But the same can be said for lots of places.  I was reviewing a paper a few days ago where the infected folks would more often have been out at, say a restaurant, beforehand as opposed to the negative folks which had not.

But there are obvious counters to this. A couple are people that have strong immune systems or are more careful are more likely to go to a gym or even a restaurant.  Also, people that are more susceptible are likely to stay home anyway.  The people that have a lot of underlying conditions will be more likely at a nursing home than a gym or restaurant anyway.

One of the interesting things we are doing right now with the contact tracing is wearing medallions on folk’s lanyards.

They sense the other folks that you have been in close proximity to during the day and for how long of a period you were in contact with them.  Etc., etc.   A lot more details with what we are reviewing  but you get the idea.

I really haven’t seen much benefit with it yet.  It can be somewhat pro-active in a way.  The folks are checked for fever at start of workday and end of workday.  Then when they or someone in their family tests positive or is suspect — the contact group is quarantined.

But even with the contact tracing we are seeing some obvious issues.

I, somewhat, understand more the bars where people tend to hang out for very long times.  But gyms, restaurants (especially outside dining) I cannot understand.

These are generally more healthy people anyway.
