The administration has been in place over 2 years and could have changed whatever they want like they did with almost all of Trumps policies. Up until recently they had congress, senate and presidency. The blame is embarrasing.

Despite renewed calls for stronger safety regulations, Biden administration is handcuffed by congress legislation to restore or expand Obama brake rule repealed by Trump.    Obama attempted to prevent dangerous derailments by requiring better brakes.  But this effort was weakened by rail industry lobbying and industry friendly republicans.

Now Ohio train derailment exposes GOP anti-woke environmental policy as illogical.  According to Huffpost, House republicans want to cut $60 billion from budget for environmental justice to help communities affected by disasters.

MAGA GOP opposes critical thinking in schools such as critical race theory.  There are more book bans in Texas and other republican states.  Democrat states tend to have higher education attainment rates.    Republicans are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories such as Trump's big lie about stolen election despite no evidence.  Studies found they consume and spread more fake news.
