Giving kids puberty blockers

Giving kids puberty blockers and/or hormone therapy is abuse. They’re too young to consent to irreversible medical procedures. It’s abuse.

Why is this legal and why do democrats support this?

Since every democrat here is too embarrassed to explain why they support this let’s take to the internet to get some general opinions from the left.

Hmm. Comparing circumcision to puberty blockers? I’m not sure that I agree with that comparison. What do you guys think?

New YouGov report shows the majority of the British public oppose medical treatment for children: 78% oppose gender reassignment surgery for under-16s, 68% oppose hormone treatment and 65% oppose puberty blockers, with only 4%, 10% and 12% in support.

I’m having a hard time finding similar reports for the US. 

Most kids that are 6.5 are learning how to tell time, the difference between day and night and left from right. Children this age are still learning about sound, distance and speed. You need to keep them away from the street because they can’t yet comprehend how dangerous a car or truck can be.

Only 34% of Americans believe that abortions should be legal after the first trimester. Since you’re a big majority/minority guy (assuming gender, my apologies), do you believe that abortion after the first trimester should be banned in all 50 states? 

No evidence supports the claim that 5-years-old kids can take sex changing hormones according to fact checkers Reuters, politifact and Associated press.  Puberty blockers aren't recommended for pre-puberty children by American academy of pediatrics, Endocrine society and World association for transgender health.  Their guidelines for hormone therapy refer to adults or adolescents and require the individual to have sufficient mental capacity to give informed consent.

You grew up in the hood where parents don’t care about their kids. Parents that care about their kids don’t let them run around, without supervision, near busy streets, at 6 years old — and that’s for a reason.

That abortion should take place in the first trimester. 

This is where the hard, adult decisions need to be made. This site is 100% dudes. None of us can fathom the emotional toll of a decision like this. Even in cases of rape/incest, the decision to terminate a pregnancy is rarely simple. So I understand that it can be difficult to make sense of such things, and reconcile all emotions withing that first few months but this is where the the hard, adult decisions have to be made. If you were raped, possibly by a family member, it isn't unreasonable to expect one to come to a decision within the first trimester.
