guess he has not been in the business long enough to know thier are no locks in this business.  Especially if you are trying to say its a lock to go against Duke and one of the best coaches in all of basketball let alone college basketball.  I know it should be a high energy game for Maryland but if Duke comes out solid on defense and gets up early they might take the crowd out of it and think thier defense stifles Maryland enough to pull it off.  However, the -1 is what bothers me you know the line makers are aware of the home road situation.  You also know they are aware of senior night and the atmosphere surrounding it and yet they dangle only -1 for the line.  I would of expected at least a 3pt hoop (-3).  Which to mean screams Duke straight up.

Damn, I liked UMD too. Was listening to the radio. There may be conference championship implications on this game, but I think Duke wins any tiebreaks if UMD does win this game.

Duke is good at making adjustments second half. I would consider a first half bet on UMD now. Your post scares me from playing the whole game.
