It is also mind boggling to me how there are so many who picked Boston winning the Finals. Just not gonna happen. The rubbing and kicking in the ass 2 years ago are ALL TATTOED in all of the minds of the Lakeshow.

Also everyone was saying that the Lakers were the same team and Boston was to so why would it change...duuuh we now have Ron and Drew and Gasol has gainned about 15 pds since than and Kg is not the same player as 2yrs ago....2 yrs ago boston could send a few differant looks at Gasol now with Drew in there they have to play differant....I thought Lakers in 6 BUT IT MIGHT GO LESS NOW...

I just read Tom Thibodeau decided to take the Chicago Bulls head coaching job.

This is good news for Celtics fans.

It gives them another excuse after the Lakers apply another ass whipping tonight.

"The Celtics aren't focused, the loss of their defensive coach has them frazzled".

"The referees are cheating."

Have Celtics for the series oh well. One thing that really scares me is that, that was the quietest 30 from Kobe I've seen in a while. The rest of the team really played well. This isn't just Kobe's championship up for grabs.

Back in 2008 me and my brother (Laker fan too) got in arguments over the Lakers being soft. But they didn't have Bynum, Ariza is hurt on and on and on he would say. Did not matter Lakers were not ready. Now it's a different story. They are defending champs and as everyone has said they remember that ass whooping. KOBE one for the thumb.

Don't forget the classic whiny excuse: "The NBA wanted the Lakers to win Game 1 so they wouldn't lose confidence."

Why guys make this type of thread is beyond me! You're just setting yourself up if Boston wins tonight or they come back and win the series. You know they're more than capable. 

See Tim Donaghy's "watchmen" comments on Game 1.

1.  Kobe clearly got the star treatment

2.  Ray Allen was sidelined for touch fouls.....touch fouls that were not called consistently.

3.  Refs evened out the fouls during and throughout the game...but clearly Lakers were given the benefit of the doubt (marginal calls) and was not in danger of losing this game b/c of officiating.

Tim went on and on and on.

To me, the refs should be invisible and not bail players out of bad plays on offense or defense and only call clear fouls or infractions when a player gains a competitive advanatage.......This is the Finals for crying out loud....they should be allowed to play AS MEN and then you can see who the better man is, the better team is, etc..etc..etc..

The refs are too relevant in the NBA....I think I know the refs name in the NBA more than in any other sport.

W ell for the record i have a couple other theards that say the lakers will repeat back on may 5th wgich has about 200 coometns on it and before game 1 i gave everyone the reason why the lakers will beat boston in anothe thears which was up last night also if you would have looked..and the reason was the bds, the bench will equel out because the lakers will have more home games and role players play better on the rd, and second chance points/shots which for the record in game 1 was 16-0 so before you run your mounth and talk shit youbetter know who your talking to and the points they have made way before game 1

I am not a Lakers fan at all...I do think Kobe is exceptionally talented and you can't overlook LA as a team here...drawing comparisons to the 2008 finals will only confuse you and cloud your judgement....LA -5.5 tonight

Bouny Hunter you are wrong ! In Vegas since Thursday and 75-80 percent of action was going to Lakers ! Who is this everyone you speak of ? Also Lakers did out play the Celtics but Boston played bad defense having nothing to do with the Lakers. Ray Allen being in foul trouble having nothing to do with the Lakers. If they played like they did on Thursday against Cleveland or Orlando they would not have been in the finals.Make up your mind Laker fans ! Kobe is better than Lebron he had a good team say Laker fans... All of a sudden Orlando and Cleveland are not very good. If that is true Lebron is better than Kobe according to what Laker fans say. You are very naive to think officiating had nothing to do with Thursdays game. I will admit this....Boston will lose if they officiate the way they did in game one. It only evened out in the stats cuz they gave Boston calls when the game was already decided.....

I have been wrong before as all of us... I am not here to lose money and be a Boston homer. Gasol played great and Garnett was horrendous. I will ride Boston tonite and see. Its do or die for Garnett so tonite we shall see if he has anything left and how injured he actually is.They had a horrendous game against Cleveland and a horrendous game against Orlando ! Boston will play alot better tonite. They have to contain Gasol . Kobe will be Kobe. Allen  will be on court to create spacing and it will be a different outcome.
